  • stuff i used to skip i m watching today *sad face*

  • his is probably the coolest version of roadrash

  • 4:42 to 4:46

    best part

  • cor this takes me back!

  • SO good, miss this from my childhood!

  • um remake Road Rash 2012

  • childhood, why....

  • Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!

  • Excellent game.

  • is this road rash 3DO (often called road rash 3D) or road rash 3-d??

  • I nostalgia'd hard when I saw this game mentioned on TV Tropes so I got it again. Behaves rather well on Win7 (just had to use a .bat script to kill explorer.exe before starting). However the character portraits don't show up, and no amount of compatability stuff brings them back. Anyone else had this problem?

  • @MisterHalt Better off just using Virtualbox and installing XP then playing it in that with Xpadder to emulate keyboard controls on your joypad. Another option is using SSF Sega Saturn emulator and playing it on that. Easiest is to use ePSXe with filters and stuff instead of messing with Windows 7. I use the Virtualbox option, also have it in ePSXe, but its not as nice in the PSX emulator.

  • So, is this the 3DO version or the PS1 version??

  • i think rhonda is pissed off cause slim saw her in the toilet xD

  • wwooaah, this brings back memories, used to play this when i was little XD

  • 3:24

LOL .. that was mean :D

  • 4:53 is that Duke Nukem?!

    Hail to the King, baby!

  • Wow this makes me weep with glee. Totally forgot the Soundgarden intro.

  • I used to play this game in 2005 on the PlayStation 2, i love this game, i play RR3 on my phone now with PicoDrive

  • This game was great. I still have it in a box somewhere. Unfortunately, my 3DO stopped working a long, long time ago.

  • I could, and have, play this game for hour upon hour

  • The cop's reaction at 3:34 made me laugh so much

  • actually this was on the playstation first by a couple months.

  • @TheBazman111 The 3DO version preceded the Playstation version by nearly a year!

  • @MrGameSack

Oops, sorry I meant it was basically finished in 1994 for the 3DO but was actually released in 1995..

    3DO  = Road Rash (Released - 1995)

    PlayStation = Road Rash 3D (Released - 1998)

    3 years ahead

  • @TheBazman111

You are incorrect, Road Rash for the 3DO was released in 1994 and Road Rash for the PlayStation was released in 1998 so 3DO BEAT IT BY 4 YEARS. Need for Speed was first on the 3DO years before anyone else. I know this because I had the original Panasonic REAL 3DO and I had all the top games for it.

  • @ChildOL yeah i know the 3DO version now was the first version but i know the playstation was no released that late it was only about a few months later it was released after the 3DO version

  • ARM based console..

  • 3DO predated Saturn and PSX by about 2 or 3 years. Just when everyone was getting bored of 2D platformers on the Mega Drive and Snes, and Nintendo's 'Ultra 64' was even further off. This was bleeding edge.

  • asd..you rock

  • this was such a fun game back in the day. too bad i sold my ps1 lol

  • 3:46 - 3:53Thats what I be doing....I be beating those cops, and when I start getting ahead I brake and finish him off lol

  • lmao at him runing

  • lol i remember this game

  • i used to just turn around and travel around the town lol

  • this is best moto-game!!!

  • haha losing is soul destroying on this game!

  • quel miss the time I played games like this and felt a great desire to reach the end of the game nowadays only think with beautiful graphics

  • saudade da quele tempo que jogava games como este e sentia muita vontade de chegar no final do game hoje em dia só pensam com graficos bonitos

  • Mhe... full motion!

  • For me I have a FZ-10 3DO and when i play RR on it, i cant play the music in the BG while racing. The option is disabled for some reason. What model of the 3DO is the game running on this review?

  • @X3CuT1oNR I have the same issue... Let me know if you figure it out! It keeps saying "Not Enough Memory" for some reason.

  • WOW memories!

  • Ooooh memories :))))))))))) I remember playing this game so much, it's so nostalgic! I remember every time I started the game I watched this cause of this awesome song!

  • Second song is by Hammerbox - what is it?

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X

    Simple Passing

  • @RavenLondonZero

Thank you ... but I prefer Styx and Supertramp. Progressive rock and arena rock is better than grunge.

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X simple passing

  • @DriftHero77

    Thank you.

  • This made my 3DO experience very fulfilling. The video elements and the 90's soundtrack made this the best version IMO. Very fluid gameply and great total layout. I just hated the loadtime.

  • good old days. no one would feel the way we felt about those stuff back then

  • I knew they had Soundgarden in this game! This game on the PS1 was how I first heard about that band. Didn't they let you watch their video of "Black Hole Sun" as an extra, too?

  • this shit was soooooo hard when it first came out. i remember lookin at these graphics when a kid across the street got a 3D0, i couldnt believe my eyes. this shit was awesome to play for hours on end i cant believe i forgot about it. 360 or someone needs to remake this, kids nowadays just dont know what theyre missin. i'd take this older version over all of these lame no-point good-graphic racing games we got today. RIP road rash, you will be missed

  • reminds me of my old win 95 at my grandmas house..oohh thos times. Im gonna download this game, cause its no longer available..else i would have bought it.

  • How I miss the times when I played these games.

It was pure fun. Today is only good game by the graph at that time was much more fun!

  • this game needs an updated version.

  • @dangnammit I really wish Criterion would do a Road Rash update. They're probably the only ones I might trust to do it.

  • maaaannnn.... I still play this game xD..... I love this game not only because of the originality, but because everything in it was just awesome... even the graphics of its time it was really nice....

I beat the game (no cheats) when I was 12 (22 now xD)... but ever since then... i still cant believe how hard it is to race on the one coarse where you have to fight to keep from getting launched over the guard-rail and into the ocean xD... stupid hard when you have the Superbike: Diablo (Bose's)

  • lol all those clips at the end. what happens if you actually win? xD

  • @hazzardwantcookies Oh you know, you get handed the trophy, the girls love you...the usual. xDDDD (There is more than one clip for each event which mixes it up a bit too)

  • I loved this version of the game. I used to play this and crank the Soundgarden. Awesome!

  • When i was 5 my cousin had this game for the ps1, and on his birthday he showed me it. I almost died of laughing when he killed a dude who was walking on the street.

About 2 years later he called me and said that he had a suprise for me, and when i ringed the bell at his house he gave me that game!!!

I was fcking happy and played it for about 3 years lol

Best racing game ever made!!!! Damn i miss the oldschool games. Fuck the ps3 and xbox360, i like the ps1, sega and nitendo64 more!!!

  • i would prefer to play this than call of duty 25 any day

  • i think this is the game with the best art work I ever see.

  • what is the name of the song in 1:23

  • @masinsher Simple Passing by Hammerbox

  • I loved this game I loved the 3DO. Such a good system its just to bad it didn't have the games to back it up and it was just ahead of its time, sort of like the dreamcast.

  • amazing!! I was 12 maybe when I played for the first time, thanks for the video

  • i had this for playstation

  • 3DO Was a junk system other then a few gems.

  • good ol days. best version made. Still very enjoyable and a great time killer on the computer

  • @paintballgundown8 funner than modern warfare 2, at least...

  • The brakes should have been purged from this game. It kills all the fun. All you need is the accelerator and the punch/kick button.

  • They really to make a remake of this game it was awesome back then just imagine a PS3 or 360 caliber road rage

  • what motorcycles they use it thes video..? models

  • when i was 14 I lied and said I was 16 just to get a job so I could buy my own 3DO. I played the hell out of this game.

  • i remember when i played it with friend and brother, smash wach other =) he try to attack me with shocker and i try to punch him XD its been very funny,or how i smashes on him and fly

  • This song fits so damn well with Road Rash, makes me feel kinda depressed that you can't bash people's heads in on motorcycles in GTASA. :(

  • FMV rox!

  • GTA - The Lost and Damned so fucking copied this game :( This game should have been the new GTA Add-On ;D

  • lol @ 3:49

  • the fighting was always so funny in this game XD just beat everyone up. ^^

road rash 3d was tougher to handle fights in. imo

  • Man, this was my GAME! I always played Road Rash 2 for the Genesis, and once we got a Saturn, all I did was play this game. I love the soundtrack and artwork. Way cool. Good times. Aged or not, this game still kicks ass.

  • what is song?

  • @nyasa87

    Rusty Cage - Soundgarden

  • @RockFr3ak

    THANKS MAN

  • ford some reason,I thinks it's funny when that guy says : GO BABY GO!

  • Believe me, in 1994, these graphics were shit-hot.

  • @PrayerPeacePurity Better looking then fucking Crusin' USA.

  • @PrayerPeacePurity The graphics completely blew me away, still is the best most enjoyable game system I ever owned. The 3DO had some of the best video games ever created (Need for Speed, Star Control, Road Rash, Samurai Showdown, etc. etc.)

  • lol! I used to play the shit out of this game for 3do...still have it as a matter of fact...this and way of the warrior were like my fav. games for 3do lol!

  • This game is so Generation X...

Anyway, I remember playing a pre-release version of this back in '93 or '94 at Universal Studios Hollywood. It blew my mind! I loved the ability to run over people, and the various videos that played when you got caught by police were hilarious!

    But man, has it aged...

  • ROFL ROFL thanks dude, you were just wailing on that cop and those other dudes, u just made my day--I used to play this game for hours, and love just wailing on those guys ROFL, great job dude, see ya at Der Panzer club !

  • Not like anyone will listen, but hey.

    Make a fucking REEEEEEEEEEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE

  • Haaa

This is one of my most favorite Childhood games XD Truly epic ! Loved it , And still love it XD

  • there really should be a remake of this idea.

  • HAHA there were bad ass graffics and vids..

  • I used to play this wen i was a little kid... it has the best soundtrack ever. I want to play that game again so bad. Too bad the disc i have now is to scrathed up to work . I'm buyin it from a kid at school for 5 bucks lol :D

  • oh, like the sega cd version.

  • that was messed up no room in the back.

so he tossed him the trunk.

  • I used to play this game wen i was little kid. Wish i still could play it. Love it!!! :D

  • Nestalgic fact

The 3DO version of Road Rash was the

1st console game to ever include surround sound.

Notice in the vid there are times you cant hear the bike engines..

Thats a bug in the PS version. Seems to happen randomly but if you reload the game the sound straightens up..

1st 32 bit RR is one of the best cross platform games ever.

  • Actually I turned off the engine noise in the second half of the gameplay scenes for the montage of hits and grunts. Also, there were at least a few SNES games in Dolby Surround before the 3DO came out, Super Turrican being one of them. It didn't work very well, but they still had the official licensing and the logo. I didn't hear any good surround from games until the Xbox came out with true Dolby Digital.

  • @MasterOtogi you are wrong about sorround thing, the first console to do that was super nintendo, dont know about the 1st game, but belive me, i had a snes back then and i bought king arhtur´s wolrd and belive me, the dobly logo was in that cartridge!

  • I agree the overall best version is the

3DO version. Due to fastest frame rate of the console versions & best sound.

The PC version was "by far the fastest" but had some sound problems (worse than the PS ver did).

The PS version had a bit better color but weaker(buggy at times) sound & was slightly slower than the 3DO ver.

The Saturn version was a bit slower than the PS version. (but still great.)

The Sega CD version was a low res port of the 3DO version.(the weakest ver)

  • The 3DO had the best version.

  • LOL you lost

Trust me when i played this game i lost sooooooooooooooo bad lol

  • This was also on the Sega CD

  • i saw this game a couple dayz ago not knowin' what kind a game it waz and watchin this makes me regret not buyin

  • if they came out with a newer version of the game for like ethe 360 i would buy

  • Soundgarden is one of the bands featured in this game.

  • the song is in that game, do some research before you comment.

  • this game is just awesome

  • I had this on my PC way back when. When did 3DO come out?

  • I had it in 1992 I think, so maybe 1991.

  • BRING BACK FMV!!!!!!!!

  • Almost singlehandedly made me not feel about about getting a 3DO. Almost.

  • i use to love running people over in this game they should make another road rash and make it that you can custom you own car like in need for speed and make it that you can pick anytype of motorcycle you want like you can get the choice of a harley-daivdson honda ect anytype of bike you want but you have to unlock all the good bikes

  • best game ever. if t wasnt 4 this game i would never had started listening to soundgarden

  • how i hate this loser videos...^^

but still love the game :D

  • best video game soundtrack ever.

    all soundgarden

  • AHHH THEIR FACERS!

  • this is how i remember it. just classic

  • omg this was the first ever video game I EVER PLAYED!! this brings back memories.

  • hey the music is:

    soundgarden - rusty cage

    i just love this game.:`D

  • a nice trip down the memory lane... back then games were still valuable

  • man this game is the best, everything is great about it, the music, the videos, the pictures. everything. Playstation 1 ftw ! best console !

  • dude i fucking Miss this game

  • Never waste time clubbing backmarkers. You should be passing them so fast they aren't even a threat. Save the chain for the 2nd and 3rd place chumps. Make them your biatches, so they don't come back.

  • Gotta love the presentation of this game, the music, the video, it's what's EA is all about :D

  • there wasn't any 3do footage. You love to beat people with clubs huh...

  • That was a beautiful club sequence, however, one chain is worth a thousand clubs. I can only imagine how stunned those clubbed riders felt before they finally kissed the pavement. Giving pain and winning is the finest aspect of Road Rash. They must bring this game back. Forget fancy graphics. It's all about punishingly brutal gameplay. Include a shotgun, a brick and some screams.

  • This on Playstation was one of the best games that I played.

  • And a good way to discover some really great bands, as it was in my case.

  • Back when we had the Sega Genesis, my sister had enjoyed playing Road Rash (perhaps more than one of the games that were released on the console) from rentals and the Sega Channel service, but I didn't have much exposure to the game(s) myself, if at all. Like Need for Speed, it was an Electronic Arts game that was first available for the Panasonic 3DO and later became available for other consoles at the time.

  • It looks like the footage came from the 3DO version of the game, since similar graphics were seen in its version of Need for Speed, and I believe they were made differently for each of the later ports. The idea of being able to hit other bikers and people is a fun-looking concept, indeed, but I'm not too fond of the theme of tough motorcycle bikers trying to win for a girl and them running from the terrible police. I wonder if the "Winner" movie is simliar to what is shown in the introduction?

  • such an awesome game!

    I have it on Saturn

  • Classic! What version is this? 3DO?
