  • AP Calculus next year? Will take a lot of convincing ._.

  • Super helpful!

  • looks too hard dang

  • i do not like this stuff!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • im a sophmore in high school right now taking multiple honors classes.. cant wait to have AP calculus.. seems fun xD

  • @ZapataDrumming What is a honors class, fyi, i am in first year of high school.

  • Calculus is so fun!, Looks so interesting.

  • THANKYOU!

I am so lost in calc and your tutorials are helping me get through.

  • But isn't the slope of the tangent line at 3/2 pi 0 since it is a horizontal line? or that's not what they're asking?

  • @worrier422 they're just asking for the value of sin of 3/2 pi and not slope of the tangent.

  • what is the derivative of yx^2 and xy^2???

  • @johnshepherd2011

that would depend on how you would derive it with respect to x or y

if you derive it with respect to x, then the derivative would be dy/dx * x^2 +2yx and

    y^2 + x y * 2dy/dx respectively

  • what is the derivative of yx^2 and xy^2???

  • man.. I have no idea what he just said. but shit I'm scared, accountants dont need this that much right?!? :(

  • @MistressSerenity dont worry, take a math tuition and u'll be back on track within a month.

  • @MistressSerenity your a fucking dumb ass if your in AP calc....

  • @payson13 wuts that supposede to mean.. i'm in gr 11. LOL

  • @payson13 not if you're a sophomore in high school lol.. when did you take it? college LOL

  • didn't get the thing when you change cos x into -sin x :(

  • @disport1 : -sinx is the derivative of cos x...also the derivative of sinx is cosx

  • wow that was an easy problem haha. well i had trouble with the maximization of area problems. and those stoooopid word problems killed me on the ap ab exam.

  • wow ur balding

  • omg............His hair..it has such gloss

  • Woah, this is so hard .

    I'm a Junior taking Math Models :/

  • that was really helpful for calculus 101

    thank you : )

  • i just did l'hopitals.. took like 1 second, although i recognised it as the derivative limit formula

  • wow i actually followed that very well!!!

  • Why did you differentiate .... if you just take the limit of the equation, it comes out to be (1 / 0) so Does Not Exist, right?

It doesn't look like to are proceeding to do L' Hospitals..

  • 1/0 = undefined

  • @danwat1234 lol you can't do that buddy.

  • @marcusjhung i bet, but why?

  • @danwat1234 I don't know the exact reason why, but I do know that you are supposed to manipulate the expression until you are able to find a limit. sorry not much help.

  • Your great make more videos

  • I don't get why he change f(x)=cosx to f`(x)=-sinx when they are equal... what's with changing the variable all the time? Wouldn't be easier to understand that it's explained as f(a), then the rest of it should be f(a)?

  • f(x) = cosx becomes f'(x)=-sinx because f prime of cosx = -sinx

  • this guy is great

  • I love how u take your time with each problem and dont rush thru it. Helps Alot! thanx

  • its not even ap, u can learn it form regular class.....

  • Thats what I was just thinking about too.

  • ap calc is soooo easy

  • This man is awesome, much better than my college professor. He should seriously get paid big money for this, quite a helpful guy.

  • just about to finish 30 pure going into calculus next semester i watched all 7 dirivitive videos by this guy and i gotta say he does a really good job... keeps a good pace knowing we have a basic knowledge on some things but doesnt assume we know everything he's talking about... i haven't started calculus but i definately have a headstart because of this man right here

  • can't you also use L'Hopital's rule to solve this? and will this problem be on the caluculator or non-calculator portion of the test?

  • why bother? It is a simple derivative of a cosine function.

  • Comment removed

  • You can; but taking the derivative is just easier.

  • we do this in year 13 maths in UK

the books called C3 chapter 8 .. last chapter its kinda easy but annoyingly long!

  • a gud tip

    thanks

  • So much skill... I love these videos!

  • you're right!!!!!!!!!!! it takes too long to do tha formula...

  • Wow, im 14 years old now, and Im seeing all of this O_o. I might have to start this next year O_o.... DAMN!

  • Calculus at 15 years old? Where do you live and what year are you on?

I'm asking that because I'm curious, once I started studying Calculus by myself long long ago when I was 12. But in my country, you only learn Calculus at 18, and in University.

  • you can learn in high school ap classes :)

  • W.T.F.

    I'm so lost.

  • LOLUMAD?

  • Oh. My. God. You made this look so easy! I really love how you broke cosx and 3pi/2 up to get the -sinx, find -sinx3pi/2. Wow, thanks so much

  • Excellent. You are the best teacher on the planet. Undoubtedly. I have taken your method of teaching in my classes. Thank you very much.

  • You lost me at 0:32

  • nice one mckeague
