@supershqipa for around 2,000 - 3,000 dollars more(STi to SS) im gotting the same power outage, but wiht AWD, better quality interior, stronger chassis, and im my oppinion better looks(except for the new STi's)
@ausfall The price difference between an 06 SS and an 06 sti is 12K...Different power output. (stock) Idk where you got your Sti for that price
The SS and SI are the same price but I like the looks of SS and prefer American, call me crazy.
Im trying to find a: Mustang gt, Cobalt, SS Mazda6, or WRX manual 5speeds for under 10K Mazda is practical, the Gt is the least, and the SS is probably the most fun. The WRX are great to but hard to find under 10K with decent millage left
@primobal3 lmfao good luck finding a transmission with the same bolt patter as the transaxle. then fabricating a cradle to mount it longitudinaly, channeling out the chassis for the transmission and drive shaft. finding a rear end that will fit, and fabricating a new front end. its not as easy as it seems dude. its a lot of custom work. and a lot of money. besides FWD gives you better hadnling. anyone car race a straight line. remember that
Dude, I love those new colbalts and G5's. Unless its an evo or an sti which both cost twice as much, they are the best bargain out there. SRT-4's have a tendencie to blow a head gasket as well as cracking heads. Thats why Im not much on them. Sweet ride dude.
Dude your nuts for even wanting to buy an Impreza for that price. Im not saying that they are not available for that price. When I check the autotrader here in orlando, they are all high milage and probably been rode hard and put away. Now I can find a bunch of low milage turbo4 Cobalts and even a few turbo solstice. Im not knocking imprezas they just get done up the same, played and now a days not the fastest or most tunable. Ecotecs are tough as nails BTW
@35RSkyline Pretty easy with turbo ones. As long as block can handle the power probably take over 400wHP.. bigger turbo with supporting bolt ons & fuel mods then some sticky slicks.. and good driver important
@bahopik thanks rated engine base horsepower, that dosent take in, PS, AC, ALT or drivetrain losses. thats actually really really good for bone stock, I suspect that motor is underated because I've never heard of only 9% losses on a stock car.
ya the 09 I test drove mid 08 had black brembos but I seen a few new ones at the dealer the other day with red Maybe it was a dealer mod sometimes dealers do things to the cars
I find the power curve really cool for these Cobalt turbo's, its a constant increase kind of like a V8. My Porsche 944 Turbo comes into its own around 3000 rpm but anything before that is not impressive. Nice car, get a tune and a exhaust, the difference in hp will shock you as it did on my 944.
you can get a 95 camaro that has 300hp and torque for like 4000 theres no since in spending 20,000 on a new cobalt and the lt1's and ls1's dont get that bad on gas either
Really now, that must be a special LT1 camaro, I've only seen the SS come with 245 hp stock, and my 09 Cobalt ss eats my brother's LT1 and we both have a cat-back system, borla on his, custom 3" on mine.
I think the Lt1's had 285HP and then the Ls1 had 305 when they first did the switch and the power went up from there.(advertised HP). Not trying to argue anything just I think that is the HP figures.
eh I gotta say the only mods Ive seen for these things is CAI and Exhaust kits and that's it IM yet to see one make 300HP to the ground I'm shire are but the best Ive seen is in GM HIGH TECH PERFORMENCE MAG they did a ECU upgrade and it maid 270 HP and 300 torque to the wheels.....so can someone tell me how these things are making 300-350 to the wheels on a stock turbo?
take a look at the cobalt forums, these thing make over 300whp with just and intake exhaust and a tune. The Gm tune is warranty friendly so obviously its not pushing the car to the limits
There are a few members on the cobaltss forums (with dyno sheets to back it up) making 360-375whp and 390-404wtq. Stock turbo, everything else upgraded, and a really nice tune. Now that Vince over at Trifecta has unlocked the fuel pressure tables, expect some larger number tunes on bigger turbos soon.
Check out Dejon Powerhouse. They have a few turbo kits for these cars from ones with ratings of 375 HP to ones with 450 HP ratings. And if you email them they will send you the charts to back it up. I myself am going to invest in the 5457b Precision Turbo kit from there in the spring. If Hahn doesn't have they're GT35 kit released by then
Hey Chris1979, this car is about 350 lbs lighter then your vet... C6 vet is 3350 lbs C6 Z06 is 3200lbs abd the SS turbo is 2950 lbs.... There's a stock turbo Ss cobalt 2008, stock engine, stock turbos, nothing has been opened up in this regaurd and with slicks and 335 whp it ran 12.1 @ 117 mph... That's 372 hp.....
They are great people there.. Although they wanted to tune my car apperently at the time they had never tuned a DI car (they really wanted to tune mine! :). I chose to go with Vince at Trifecta for the tune that is going on it.
Current mods: 3" turbo back exhaust, charge piping, hahn intercooler, short ram intake, rotated trans mounts, hypersingle clutch, and the trifecta tune. I need to dyno again to see what Im putting down now.
Man I dunno, maybe i got lucky and mine got more than some, But from what ive seen people tend to get in the 240 range of horsepower to the wheels on these new Stock SS/TC's But i got mine In alberta last June, Dynoed it in august, and i got 256 to the wheels, and 274 lb/ft of torque.
Im not sure, ill have to check it out, but dynojet sounds familiar. i know that day they were changing it around for Front and Rear wheel drives and alot were going through it so i dunno haha.
Lol keep on hating on the caliber srt 4, third party vendors and Mopar are starting to release stage kits, and back it up, My car may not make nice times on the nurburgring but i only need a 1/4 mile to put you in place while i have grocerys in the car.
To each his own.. They are all good cars in their own right, buy what fits you best. I liked the Cobalt more than the competition in what I was looking for - choose your poison :)
thats weird that they didnt underrate it. i just put my 2006 ss/sc on the dyno last night and it ran 234hp stock. it was also a dynojet dyno. i was kinda upset when they came out with the turbo but this makes me feel a little better.
The LSJ (2.0L S/C ecotec) in your car was under-rated, but by the time GM came out w/ the 2.0L Turbo ecotec (LNF), they were already submitting all their engines to the new SAE standard which requires HP numbers be within +/- 1% of actual, thus the LNF is not under rated like the supercharged LSJ was.
actually it's not "completely" the stock turbo. It has the upgraded compressor wheel from their stage 2 kit. Get your facts straight. Oh and the CSRT is ugly as shit...and heavy as fuck...and has a horrible limited slip diff...it may have been cool if they gave it a real one but the electronic one is a load of crap...realtune had to jimmyrig a mechanical LSD to get it in the 11s...and the one they made will never be sold to the public.
dude... there was no csrt running 11's without some engine performance mods.... u shoulda said 12's or low 13's and i would have researched this... but 11's arent happening...
Well then maybe you should actually do some research. Realtune has their CSRT in the 11s. 11.62 to be exact. Completely stock engine...upgraded compressor wheel in the turbo. It was all done with their stage 2 kit. Just type in realtune caliber and see for yourself.
I'm also thinking about getting one before the summer. I have an 06 SER SpecV w/brembo's on it too and I love them. BUT the new SS/TC comes with them as well PLUS perks! My brother has a 2.4 SS that he plans to install a turbo kit on pretty soon so he thinks I should let the SpecV go and invest on the new SS/TC. I'm thinking about it really hard!! What do you think? I mean this dynod REALLY GOOD! Barely lost any HP at the wheel!
not to mention the GM stage 1 kit will be out soon - it will bump it to at least 290hp (crank), and removes the computer's torque limiter so you can go higher with bolt ons :)
Not every single car in the world looses 16-17% through the drivetrain...that's just an average ballpark figure, depending on the drivetrain this car may not loose as much as other similarly rated cars.
WOW 240whp stock is pretty impressive. It means the rated 260hp is underrated since thats only a 10-12% drivetrain loss. Very impressive. Im considering buying one of these turbo SSs used.
The caliber is pretty disappointing considering it gets left WAY behind in the turns... tisk tisk.. What good is more power if you cant use it in turns? Thats the reason I bought a Cobalt SS. None of its competitors handle anywhere near as good.
I thought this car was rated at 260horse 260 torque so how does it make so much stock at the wheel? wouldnt it be a loss of approx 17% or something???
I beat one in my Mazdaspeed Miata yesterday, I have an intake, not sure what he had but he said he ran a 14.3 before, and I was expecting my car to run a 14.6 so I'm kinda curious. Quick cars though, like them much more than the old SC ones. Hear they handle pretty good too.
Almost non-existent right now. You can get a 3" exhaust, catless downpipe, upgraded charge piping and an upgraded intercooler, and a tune. Of most of the suspension upgrades for the 05-07 apply too. I suspect there will be a good aftermarket in about a year with all the glowing reviews this car has been getting in all the magazines.
Just an update - the aftermarket has exploded on these, there are now 6 or 7 different companies all making parts, and more every day. Only thing that hasn't been touched so far is the fueling (which is holding us back - there is a 400WHP "wall" that is hit due to fueling even with a turbo swap)
I don't think I would mind 400 WHP on this little car that much LOL. That's right there with my modded C6 which I ran a 12.15 @ 118.33 in the 1/4 mile last week! This car is about 200 Lbs lighter than my Vette. I would love to go for a ride in that thing! =)
Cool man, thanks for responding. I wasn't sure if it was suppost to do that or not. I ask my dealer from whom I bought the car and their mechanics didn't have a clue.lol! Mine is Victory Red also. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Pennsylvania.
Yeah, added 10hp right there! lol. I didnt like the fact that the 4 piston fixed brembo calipers were not even painted stock - I felt they should be red :).
I had some questions for other owners. When cruising around town when I upshift I hear a "click" from the tranny when I let the clutch out. Is this normal? When no-lift shifting, I hear a "buzz" when shifting. Does anyone else's do these things?
I can hear the clutch engage in the tranny when the clutch pedal is let out, and the syncronizers on this car are quite loud, you can hear them while shifting. (kind of a whir sound in between gears).
I got mine recentally and love it! The car is stout in everyway, performance/ride/handling. I saw some of the posts about the boost, as soon as you put the pedal down in mine it hits 15 psi and continues to raise till redline. I've hit 19.5 as the highest so far.
No smack talking, I want just want to race the new turbo cobalt, I respect GM for making the turbo cobalt. Just need some info. about your car, I'm hearing that it's the same set up as the saturn ion redline and the pontiac solstic GXP, I have beaten both of those cars off the line and a roll, what differences in power does the cobalt have? Thanks for any info. I drive a mazdaspeed3 by the way.
The Saturn Ion Redline does not have the same setup - it was the same as the 07 and earlier SS Cobalts, but they don't have a new Redline based on the '08 powerplant/suspension (yet?). As for the GXP, I think the '08 is the same, I don't know about the earlier ones, maybe someone else can chime in?
I looked at buying a MS3, but chose the cobalt since there is more headroom ;). The MS3 is a great car too.
my bad, I didn't mean the Ion, that makes me look like a complete fool, I really meant the saturn sky redline, On the specs for that car its a 2.0l turbo with 260hp, is that the same thing as the 08 ss cobalt?
How are you liking the car so far, that new shifting feature is pretty cool.
I believe it is the same setup, but again am no expert when it comes to those cars. I considered getting one, but cannot fit ;).
I love the car so far - with all that torque coming on by 2000rpm it makes for a quick car around town, and GM really outdid themselves with the suspension - pulls almost 1G on the skidpad yet has a fairly nice ride when you are just driving normally, not harsh at all.
I would say take to the 1/4 track just because I'm interested in what numbers you would get, but if you are like me, I would rather not go trash my car on the track.
Nice car dude, I was gana buy one but I didnt want to wait for it to come out and every dealership was a bunch of faggots and didn't even know about it. How long did you have to wait? I got an 05 STi instead, still like the SS turbocharged though, maybe will have it as a daily driver in a few years once i start modding my sti.
I got it from one of the largest dealerships in the Carolina's - Hendrick. They got it from the first shipment to the Carolinas and drove it up here from the rail depot in South Carolina. As near as I can tell, I was one of the first, if not the first SS in North Carolina.
I get mine today and i already have a boost controler just waiting to go in. I'll just set the thing to 17 and call it good. i wont' have any presure drop so ill try to get some vids up quick.
how did the controller work out and is the 17 or 18 psi stock ? what are the limitations to the stock turbo? what will the motor handle, and what is the tranny designed to put down?Where can i test drive one? If you know!please reply im considering getting one if there any left.275 / 307 is rediculous for a 2.0,it is at 18 psi correct?
A stock cobalt SS/TCV does not put down 275whp/307tq. Stock they put down from what I have seen about 240 whp. Still good for a 2.0L 4cyl turbo. Overall the computer will raise and lower boost as nessessary to meet a target hp goal. Only if you take boost control directly away from the computer will you probably be able to raise the boost up to where you want to have it and keep it there.
The 274/307 number that this video is a response to is considered BS by even people that own this car. Look at my other videos, my personal dyno run matched the numbers in this video almost exactly (I put down 240whp/258wtq). However, with just Hahn Racecraft's 3" catback exhaust and PPC tuner, this car puts down 290whp and 310tq. Its going to be interesting to see how far this can be taken!
Ok, so I just found the video that you were talking about and it says clearly, WHP. While it is high, picking up 20 hp with a tune isn't unheard of, especially if you play with the boost.
Its actually ECU controlled and varies depending on the conditions, it can go as high as 21psi but I dont think anyone has seen it that high yet. Seems that most people are between 15-18psi.
i have a 08 slobalt and i run 16 and peak liike 19lbs of boost........ stock..... just i have 4000 miles on it already and decided to break it like i'd drive it

They only produced 2,537 Cobalt SS's in 2009.
120 of those are yellow.
My car is 1 of 120.

The LSJ (2.0L S/C ecotec) in your car was under-rated, but by the time GM came out w/ the 2.0L Turbo ecotec (LNF), they were already submitting all their engines to the new SAE standard which requires HP numbers be within +/- 1% of actual, thus the LNF is not under rated like the supercharged LSJ was.
someguy5973 2 years ago
the guy at the dealership said it was. aswell for the sky redline and the solstice.
wish i had an extra money right now. thats retarted power out of a 2.0 thats warrantied.lol

Stock cobalt SS's have been seen (even on video on youtube in fact) running 13.5 stock...No CSRT4 even comes close...sorry.
idiotfieldmouse 3 years ago
Hmmm...a Cobalt SS that pulled the fastest front wheel drive lap time around the Nuremberg ring or a box on wheels that has some more horses...
Cobalt wins.

realtune performance - creaters of an 11 second caliber still running with the stock turbo.
chenzo19 3 years ago
actually it's not "completely" the stock turbo. It has the upgraded compressor wheel from their stage 2 kit. Get your facts straight. Oh and the CSRT is ugly as shit...and heavy as fuck...and has a horrible limited slip diff...it may have been cool if they gave it a real one but the electronic one is a load of crap...realtune had to jimmyrig a mechanical LSD to get it in the 11s...and the one they made will never be sold to the public.
idiotfieldmouse 3 years ago
dude... there was no csrt running 11's without some engine performance mods.... u shoulda said 12's or low 13's and i would have researched this... but 11's arent happening...
Synic08 2 years ago

Tunercraze 3 years ago
not to mention the GM stage 1 kit will be out soon - it will bump it to at least 290hp (crank), and removes the computer's torque limiter so you can go higher with bolt ons :)
ltbarkley 3 years ago
just priced it out today!
i have an 08 hhr ss and went into get the rear bowtie replaced. installed $1276 +tax.
290hp 340trq. gotta use premium. gotta start saving.
NATEandtheMONKEY 3 years ago
the bowtie wasn't 1200. thats for the comp. flash.lol

Not every single car in the world looses 16-17% through the drivetrain...that's just an average ballpark figure, depending on the drivetrain this car may not loose as much as other similarly rated cars.
softballfan1007 3 years ago
WOW 240whp stock is pretty impressive. It means the rated 260hp is underrated since thats only a 10-12% drivetrain loss. Very impressive. Im considering buying one of these turbo SSs used.

pretty disappointing numbers seeing as what the caliber srt-4 has been dynoing at ... tisk tisk
chenzo19 3 years ago
The caliber is pretty disappointing considering it gets left WAY behind in the turns... tisk tisk.. What good is more power if you cant use it in turns? Thats the reason I bought a Cobalt SS. None of its competitors handle anywhere near as good.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
I thought this car was rated at 260horse 260 torque so how does it make so much stock at the wheel? wouldnt it be a loss of approx 17% or something???
muscle69camaro 3 years ago
Dunno - but the numbers I put down here seem to be fairly consistent among other SS'.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
It's 260, 260 at the crank.
krc2002rulz 3 years ago
yes thank you
muscle69camaro 3 years ago
I beat one in my Mazdaspeed Miata yesterday, I have an intake, not sure what he had but he said he ran a 14.3 before, and I was expecting my car to run a 14.6 so I'm kinda curious. Quick cars though, like them much more than the old SC ones. Hear they handle pretty good too.

theese things are fast. i know its a cobalt but i tell you what i raced one the other night in my g6 gtp and i wasnt catching him
joe00pimp 3 years ago
thats what a (rated) 280 bhp with a turbo that kicks in at 2000 rpm will do for ya
stupidplants 3 years ago
260hp flywheel.
JamesThWilliams 3 years ago
thats an underrated figure...u can see wut they put down on these such videos if you dont believe me
jcobaltss2005 3 years ago
But you said (rated). So I assumed you were indicating the official sae net HP.
JamesThWilliams 3 years ago
i thought they run 240 crank?
jojomajesty 3 years ago
Nope, 260/260 crank, it appears they are a bit underrated on the torque side, since I put to the wheels almost exactly 260 torque.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
Pretty sweet. I wonder how good the aftermarket on those things are.
irocksyoursocks 3 years ago
Almost non-existent right now. You can get a 3" exhaust, catless downpipe, upgraded charge piping and an upgraded intercooler, and a tune. Of most of the suspension upgrades for the 05-07 apply too. I suspect there will be a good aftermarket in about a year with all the glowing reviews this car has been getting in all the magazines.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
Just an update - the aftermarket has exploded on these, there are now 6 or 7 different companies all making parts, and more every day. Only thing that hasn't been touched so far is the fueling (which is holding us back - there is a 400WHP "wall" that is hit due to fueling even with a turbo swap)
ltbarkley 2 years ago
I don't think I would mind 400 WHP on this little car that much LOL. That's right there with my modded C6 which I ran a 12.15 @ 118.33 in the 1/4 mile last week! This car is about 200 Lbs lighter than my Vette. I would love to go for a ride in that thing! =)
IrishChris1979 2 years ago
Is that on stock internals???
acingteam 2 years ago
yep, all stock. zzp just made a turbo kit for this car. they are over 500 to the wheels. stock everything, including injectors
colejjones 2 years ago
I bet you can get the stage 3 kit for it that is out for the solstice/sky, that adds around 80hp.
disbsam333 3 years ago
Those are good number for a Stock I4 turbo car.
nice SS/TC btw.

I dont think you are looking at the SS - or maybe a 2007 ss? The 2008 ss published specs are 260 lb-ft at 2000rpm.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
oh.
poly23 3 years ago
Yes they went away from the superchargers to turbos which are big on hp for small motors. Way to figure it out GM ;-).
dsm2xtreme 3 years ago 2
Cool man, thanks for responding. I wasn't sure if it was suppost to do that or not. I ask my dealer from whom I bought the car and their mechanics didn't have a clue.lol! Mine is Victory Red also. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Pennsylvania.

disgrace, lol jk nice car

Yeah, added 10hp right there! lol. I didnt like the fact that the 4 piston fixed brembo calipers were not even painted stock - I felt they should be red :).

I had some questions for other owners. When cruising around town when I upshift I hear a "click" from the tranny when I let the clutch out. Is this normal? When no-lift shifting, I hear a "buzz" when shifting. Does anyone else's do these things?
aarroot 3 years ago
I can hear the clutch engage in the tranny when the clutch pedal is let out, and the syncronizers on this car are quite loud, you can hear them while shifting. (kind of a whir sound in between gears).
ltbarkley 3 years ago
ya most chevy cars do that my 2.4 cavalier was even worse than my cobalt
mikemw13 3 years ago
I got mine recentally and love it! The car is stout in everyway, performance/ride/handling. I saw some of the posts about the boost, as soon as you put the pedal down in mine it hits 15 psi and continues to raise till redline. I've hit 19.5 as the highest so far.
aarroot 3 years ago
That dude is such a poser. Look at em' he's standing there like a tard. I bet he drove straight from the dealership to the dyno shop.
jscizzle22 3 years ago
LOL, I hope not- thats the assistant to the shop owner (who was in my car doing the dyno run)
I am the owner of the car and am the one holding the camera ;).
And I waited until I had 3000 miles on the car before doing this.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
No smack talking, I want just want to race the new turbo cobalt, I respect GM for making the turbo cobalt. Just need some info. about your car, I'm hearing that it's the same set up as the saturn ion redline and the pontiac solstic GXP, I have beaten both of those cars off the line and a roll, what differences in power does the cobalt have? Thanks for any info. I drive a mazdaspeed3 by the way.
Alexsered 3 years ago
The Saturn Ion Redline does not have the same setup - it was the same as the 07 and earlier SS Cobalts, but they don't have a new Redline based on the '08 powerplant/suspension (yet?). As for the GXP, I think the '08 is the same, I don't know about the earlier ones, maybe someone else can chime in?
I looked at buying a MS3, but chose the cobalt since there is more headroom ;). The MS3 is a great car too.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
my bad, I didn't mean the Ion, that makes me look like a complete fool, I really meant the saturn sky redline, On the specs for that car its a 2.0l turbo with 260hp, is that the same thing as the 08 ss cobalt?
How are you liking the car so far, that new shifting feature is pretty cool.
Alexsered 3 years ago
I believe it is the same setup, but again am no expert when it comes to those cars. I considered getting one, but cannot fit ;).
I love the car so far - with all that torque coming on by 2000rpm it makes for a quick car around town, and GM really outdid themselves with the suspension - pulls almost 1G on the skidpad yet has a fairly nice ride when you are just driving normally, not harsh at all.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
I would say take to the 1/4 track just because I'm interested in what numbers you would get, but if you are like me, I would rather not go trash my car on the track.
Live anywhere near Maryland?
Alexsered 3 years ago
Nice car dude, I was gana buy one but I didnt want to wait for it to come out and every dealership was a bunch of faggots and didn't even know about it. How long did you have to wait? I got an 05 STi instead, still like the SS turbocharged though, maybe will have it as a daily driver in a few years once i start modding my sti.
Nightkast22 3 years ago
I got it from one of the largest dealerships in the Carolina's - Hendrick. They got it from the first shipment to the Carolinas and drove it up here from the rail depot in South Carolina. As near as I can tell, I was one of the first, if not the first SS in North Carolina.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
I get mine today and i already have a boost controler just waiting to go in. I'll just set the thing to 17 and call it good. i wont' have any presure drop so ill try to get some vids up quick.
cobaltspeda 3 years ago
Ill be interested to see if that boost controller works. As restrictive as this ECU is supposed to be you may end up with a check engine light.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
ummmm 17 is stock if you just let it break in for a lil..... i am at 18 now with 4900 miles on it
widowedeight 3 years ago
how did the controller work out and is the 17 or 18 psi stock ? what are the limitations to the stock turbo? what will the motor handle, and what is the tranny designed to put down?Where can i test drive one? If you know!please reply im considering getting one if there any left.275 / 307 is rediculous for a 2.0,it is at 18 psi correct?
PAULIEPINCH 3 years ago
A stock cobalt SS/TCV does not put down 275whp/307tq. Stock they put down from what I have seen about 240 whp. Still good for a 2.0L 4cyl turbo. Overall the computer will raise and lower boost as nessessary to meet a target hp goal. Only if you take boost control directly away from the computer will you probably be able to raise the boost up to where you want to have it and keep it there.
scottw03 3 years ago
The 274/307 number that this video is a response to is considered BS by even people that own this car. Look at my other videos, my personal dyno run matched the numbers in this video almost exactly (I put down 240whp/258wtq). However, with just Hahn Racecraft's 3" catback exhaust and PPC tuner, this car puts down 290whp and 310tq. Its going to be interesting to see how far this can be taken!
ltbarkley 3 years ago
240 + 15% = 276. Those quoted numbers are probably flywheel numbers, which is where manufacturers rate them.
cawpin 3 years ago
Ok, so I just found the video that you were talking about and it says clearly, WHP. While it is high, picking up 20 hp with a tune isn't unheard of, especially if you play with the boost.
Also, Youtube has screwed replies again.
cawpin 3 years ago
nice car. im just wonderin, whats the stock boost for the turbo? thanks.
Kstang09 3 years ago
15 psi, just got mine a week ago
the4biddenpker 3 years ago
Its actually ECU controlled and varies depending on the conditions, it can go as high as 21psi but I dont think anyone has seen it that high yet. Seems that most people are between 15-18psi.
ltbarkley 3 years ago
Not bad!!! If i ever wanted to trade my 06 SpecV, it would be this car for sure!
Tunercraze 3 years ago
i have a 08 slobalt and i run 16 and peak liike 19lbs of boost........ stock..... just i have 4000 miles on it already and decided to break it like i'd drive it
widowedeight 3 years ago
On this run it was around 17psi and almost dead line at 14.0 AFR until about 5k rpm when it goes to 13 then works it way to 12 at 6.5k rpm

what psi does it run at, nice balt by the way im jealous haha
