  • i cant find the video of you riding it but looks smooth haha its a trike with rear suspension hhah sick

  • Ta ja mostrou q esta porcaria se mexe de lado, mas e ai pra q serve esta bosta?

  • wow! Awesome! It's the the BMW Streetcarver Skateboard! Neat! Can I ride it?

  • bot will it blend?

  • i like it, where i can buy it with seats monitored.

  • I would like to advertise this for you, How can I get one?

  • what if u put a motor on it?

  • it looks like the person isnt wearing pants

  • that's really cool but you need some springs on it, otherwise you will be going a bit left or a bit right everytime

  • it needs a motor.

  • YSAUSE

  • Works a bit like the BMW Street Carver. Were you inspired by that by any chance?

  • nice work!

  • Watch Chris's vids if you want to see how to build stuff that works. youtube com/user/ChrisLuxembourg

  • New invention makes driving easier. wwwDOTsidedriverDOTcom

  • looks like the reverse version of the tumbler'

  • Wow...that is awesome....I watch some of the other vids....pretty much redesigned the tap pole, ya did.....it's rocks!!!!

  • salut regardez ma vidéo sur youtube il suffit juste de tapez : trikking trottinette 3 roues et vous verrez je suis le premier ! :D vous allez adorez c'est sur !

  • JETrike, where is the jet engine?

  • ok this thing looks insanely fun to ride just seen the video of you taring round the track but wondering whats the advantage of 3 wheels because if you had to it would tilt without all the complex stuff?

  • @DOUBL3SCOOP Thats is a good point. At first I thought tilting was a good idea. In reality there were very few corners on my commute where I actually need a trike that leaned. Most corners are intersections where I have stop, or at least slow down. These days I think a simple chain line, ride comfort and being able to see over traffic are probably more important design criteria.

  • Now this I like.

  • how does it turn

  • That's brilliantly engineered. I'v been trying to accomplish that with springs and what have you... never thought to use tie rods and a cantilever... There's my "Duh" moment for the day.

  • huh? What is it?

  • what happens when you scrape your elbows on the asphalt

  • @monmon7869 - it hurts! It's Nature's way of telling you to wear suitable clothing.

Although if this is a serious question I think you should be more concerned about scraping your knuckles as you walk

  • complimenti molto interessante sara un FWD come il SIRIO

  • With abit more work it will be as good as a bike with two wheels.

  • original -_-

  • Dang, I have the scooter trikke.

  • '

how about ride on the road while video on

  • Brilliant!

  • i remember a 4 wheeler similar to this.

  • Well that's fine and dandy, but how do you stabilize the bike if it's only weight transfer that makes the rear wheels tilt in the manner they do? It seems you need to incorporate the steering on the front wheel with the tilt on the rear, otherwise you will have some sort of dual independent axle movement unlike the old fire trucks where you could steel both the front and rear axle independently. Do you have a video of this set up in motion? I am very skeptical.

  • @Umaxen Maybe you should have checked out the other videos of me riding it before you posted...

  • @Umaxen, If you look at just one rear wheel, you see that it behaves just like a rear wheel of a two-wheeler! It's very easy to see that you balance just like a two-wheeler! No need for linkup between steering and leaning! This design shares the same linkup between the rear wheels as the Munzo and Hicks trikes. Go look at their tilt action. Both rear wheels tilt the same as one there also! Nice design and it works great!!

  • @Umaxen you stabalize with balance, just like you would with an even less stable 2 wheel bike.

    facepalm.jpg

  • @Umaxen

    bellend !

  • @Umaxen hhhmmm another all theory no practice comment..

  • Nice- stick a couple of sram electric motors on that and let me design the bodywork!

  • Comment removed

  • @MobileMediaProducts he hasnt tried to gain financially. if you came across this video from his site as i did, even just the two or three small snippets are enough to convince one as to the practicality, or the virtues, of building such a beastie...

the plans are available for free. an amazing thing for the work invested.

mr thomas, may you rest easy at night knowing you are a true human being :)

its not the destination but the journey that counts

  • @MobileMediaProducts Mate when I built this thing, getting HD video online was a lot more difficult and expensive than it is now. This is all I got at the time.

  • Really appreciate seeing it sway side to side from various angles. Maybe next time someone can actually RIDE it.

  • Do you want to know THE WORLD'S SIMPLEST TRANSMISSION for Bicycle?

Watch : UNIQUE BIKE CRANK ( 2- SPEED)

  • i dont see a jet on the bike:S?

  • @casanoval33t its not a bike, its a trike

  • you need to alter the angle of the rear wheels. that well tip in a fast turn

  • its like a ripstick stearing

  • i wanan see it ride

  • why this bike did not ride on the road while the video on

  • eventually yes but its a good concept

  • The frame is made of C450 Australian steel. The welds were done with stainless rods. In many respects the front was over engineered, but the back rims would fatigue long before the frame. I trust my welding, and STEEL IS REAL -- none of the fatigue problems that trouble aluminum and carbon.

  • Well, what I am saying is the pivot points will fail before anything else since they bear weight and are in constant flux of movement.

Like I said, had a cart as a kid that worked by pumping the handlebar, and right where the pivot point was, them parts would continue to snap after so mant hundreds of hours of use, like beinding a metal stripp back & forth, eventually, it will break.

  • Have you never heard of something called a 'bearing'?

The swing-arms pivot on bearings, just like those on Motorbikes, and the suspension arms on cars.

  • looks plenty strong to me

  • Wow 29 seconds of wobbling...

  • I'm not sure what to think of this

  • Cornering fast will be a problem. You body weight will be thrown out as you're trying to lean in. Wouldn't you be fighting you the G's to maintain the cornering lean?

  • It will be just like a motorcycle. In fact, turning should be faster.

  • i get it it is propelled by the front wheel and steers by leaning like a two wheel bike.

  • Dont know anything about engineering but that looks pretty cool.

  • I need people like this to work at my shop in Los Angeles building Future Cars.....So much talent......Great job ....Love it,...

  • Cool, but danger in this bic is too risky, so i wun even try it download slope... (:

  • i want it. [;

  • i would like to see you driving this thing

u have to go very fast to drive it smooth

  • thats pretty cool

  • can we buy the plans for this???

  • I though of something like this way back in '95. I believed, until today, that I would need a rear axle and dif. Thanks so much for solving it for me. I guess I'm a visionary and not an inventor, after all.

  • Pretty cool.

Question, what do you use for the shafts that go inside the hubs? A welded bicycle shaft would be too week to be only supported from one side.

  • 14mm BMX hubs with the shaft offset to one side.

  • I thought AWD via pump-drive, like power steering, would be the best way to power a year-rounder. (Illinois sucks) But chainless liquid-drive has always intrigued me. Oh, man, sirius is rockin' acdc, gotta go!

  • would it be ok if you sent me the desin plans that is really cool

  • rockabye baby...

  • ´that didn't show me anything about how it works

  • Drunk bike XD

  • OK now ride it!! BANG!!!

The video of you hitting the floor would be funny.

  • maybe take a vid making course

  • It not works at all.

  • If you idiots would take a look at whpthomas other videos you would see that there are several vids of this trike being ridden.

  • really great.

  • that's cool

but does it not tip to one side when you're not holding it?

  • No, this is what makes the jetrike different from other tilting trikes

  • so what the hell are you showing!!!!

  • i think it's some kinda trike porne

  • This is so erotic, I need one, but I guess it's better to wait at mk III, or should one build one of the easier modells first? I can't do shit but my moms guy works with metal profiles and have a welding machine and such so I can surely get help from him.

    I won't try anything without pre-made plans though :D

Anyone know how far of the mk III may be?

  • next show a god damn vid with u riding it

  • This rickety looking fragile tricycle aint look like it got some jet to me.

  • thats cool well watch jabe lopez and commrent it plz

  • same as trikke.

  • really great.

But and there is alsways a but:

    - does it work on standard bicycles?

    - is it costly to build?

I would like very much to ride such a bike in next winter - therefore any info about procurement would be appreciated very much. The comment about electric propulsion is also interesting since I'm working on that too.

    cheers

  • You can find out more about my trike on jetrike-dot-com, where you can download plans and read a step-by-step photo essay on how it was constructed.

  • get this frame on an aerorider or some other electro-ped hybrid and I'd buy it
