I find it disturbing to hear people say that Venables and Thompson should be hunted down and killed - that's condoning murder, which is the crime for which they are condemned. Such a tragic loss, and felt so much more now that I am a father. There's been little, if any justice, and therefore how can there be any closure . So many questions why? The story that they moved to Australia was a chain e-mail sent a few years back with various inaccuracies e.g. saying they were 'due to be released'. No one who forwarded it actually seemed to check in actual fact that they'd been released several years ago.
The govt could never send them to Australia, nor any other country for that matter. Think about it, if you were the leader/ambassador of another country and the UK said "We have 2 convicted child killers we want rid of" - would you say yes?

The biggest tragedy is nothing can bring little James back. I find it disturbing to hear people say that Venables and Thompson should be hunted down and killed - that's condoning murder, which is the crime for which they are condemned. How would that solve anything? It would make things worse, basically saying it's okay to kill someone if you have a reason. And people wonder why these two 10-year-olds thought it was okay to abduct and murder a toddler. Killers are made, not born. RIP James.

It's bad enough that anyone is capable of hurting another human, and especially a child. But those two boys were only 10, just kids themselves! That is just plain scary that even young kids are actually capable of committing such a horrible act. I guess sociopaths do start out early in life. It's just so scary. RIP little James. :( I can't imagine the fear, pain and terror this poor little guy felt during his last moments of life. And he'd be 20 years old today if he was still alive. :(

This by far is the most beutiful tribute to James I have found. This song by the Fray, "How To Save A Life" certainly captures a range of moods one feels when reflecting on little James life. Such a tragic loss, and felt so much more now that I am a father. There's been little, if any justice, and therefore how can there be any closure . So many questions why? My thoughts are always with Ralf and Denise. But especialy when we hug our little bear at night, my thought are with James.

The mother is offended about the name "Jamie?" She shouldn't be. The public added that to it because he was so endearing. There is no punishment good enough for these men except to be tortured themselves for the rest of their lives. When you have a justice system so sympathetic toward criminals, I would hope that the press would follow them everywhere and never forget it. They should also never ever be given name changes!

A lovely video remembrance for a beautiful child. How could something so terrible happen to such a sweet innocent child? I was in the UK when the trial happened, so remember this well. I now have a little boy who is about the same age as James was, who is also called James and who bears quite a resemblance to James and this story is just cutting me to shreds, to think of how that little boy suffered. I am sitting in front of my computer balling my eyes out.

The story that they moved to Australia was a chain e-mail sent a few years back with various inaccuracies e.g. saying they were 'due to be released'. No one who forwarded it actually seemed to check in actual fact that they'd been released several years ago.
The govt could never send them to Australia, nor any other country for that matter. Think about it, if you were the leader/ambassador of another country and the UK said "We have 2 convicted child killers we want rid of" - would you say yes?

Venables and Thompson have done their time. They were impressionable kids growing up amidst the influx of corrupt , violent video games and movies of the 1980s. Sure, murdering Bulger was wrong, but it's highly questionable whether they truly understood what they were doing. After all, the media around them was presenting murder as acceptable and commonplace, and their home lives were also dubious, with nobody to tell them otherwise. They deserve their new start - good luck to them.

StarsHollowjinx this video is clearly not here to start a hate campaign it is here in memory of james, and yes bad things do happen, but if you had a heart then you would know that yu don't just move on, but you learn to live with things like this and you keep them in your heart for the rest of your life. It was awful what them boys did to him, of course people are going to be angry!

OMG, why can't anyone get it through their heads!?!?!?! What I'm saying is that they WERE locked up, not for nearly as long as they should have been, but the served the sentences they were given and have done their bit. It is not their fault they got off lightly!!!!

I really can not believe this precious boy was taken in such a horrible way. I have a niece who is 2 and my god I keep thinking "what if someone took her? what if it had been her?" I can not even imagine it, I break down and cry. God bless this little angel now and forever and his family who lost SO much. My heart is with them.

The fact that people have sympathy for the family and they are not related does not make them freaks! what a narrow minded little person. Its people like this who get criminals a easy ride! they committed a crime, a terrible one at that, they should have been punished!! not compensated!! this case and many others act as almost an invitation to commit such crimes, in order to recieve a better life!!

Brilliant video it dosnt mention those two animals who took james life. I have the greatest sympathy for his parents they are very brave people and i sincerely hope they have some peace in there lifes although being a parent myself I can understand that you would never forget nor would you want too. very nice and touching video... Without being as bad as you i wish there was a way you could feel the pain and fear he must have felt that day wondering why he was being beaten up and hurt. Then feel the pain and loss his family feel everyday and then reapeat your little goody two shoes comment of "the poor boys should be left to live their lives in peace". I'm not asking to kill them but at least keep them away from everyone else and their kids! You really need to grow up cause i can tell you are only after an argument!

Not take pity on them, but leave them alone! All this is in the past, so why not let it go? They are still living beings themselves, so let them live the life they have. What happened to that baby was a tragedy, but they have served their sentences and should be left to live in peace. Everyone slagging them on here needs to get a life and think of others, not just take their hate out on someone else.

As I have said before in a comment, my baby son died due to the negligence of someone else and having him taken was hard enough for everyone, I did not start a hate campaign against the person who caused his death, though! Living with the feelings of nothing but hate and anger is just ruining your own life, it's not changing anything for anyone. Everyone should get over this and realize the world is not perfect and terrible things happen, but we have to move on.
