Sabah produces the second largest amount of oil and petroleum in Malaysia and yet only receive 7% of the revenue. We are the poorest state in Malaysia. And can you imagine that 1/3 of our population are illegal immigrants? There is barely enough money for Sabahans as it is. Considering how large this problem is it's not a simple case of inhumanity, Sabahans don't have much of a choice either. As much as we would like to solve this problem and trust me, we do, it's not that easy.

well based on our history...sabah belongs to the sultanate of sulu,philippines...that's a fact. malaysian gov't is currently paying taxes/rentals to our gov't. haven't you read?

Is that true...? I think its not true.. in fact, Sabah population is about 3 million people.. Sabah is Majority by Christian, the ethnic Kadazan populate over 1.3 million people.. Followed by Chinese 600,000.. Then bajau over 200,000.. The Suluk are only about 100,000.. You can't say that all muslim is from Malaysia or Sabah, U're just saying without any research or a prove.. BIG MOUTH!!

history people of southern philippiones comprise of muslim are from malaysia, and the rest of mindanao are etnhic malays , and sabah is part of the people of minadanao , grabbed by malay in malasian, so phillipine govt is adamant to take responsibility

I'm shocked. Never knew this problem existed in Sabah, Malaysia and I'm Malaysian. I knew that there are a lot of illegal immigrants from Phillipine, but never knew that they would just abandon their kids like that. Both governments should work together over this matter.

There should be measures taken by Malaysia to ensure the safety and welfare of these children, however the onus is on the Filipino government and the Filipino parents for abandoning their children. What a messed up world.

There was a time where Malaysia and the Philippines were just one country-- without borders, people free to roam about in the greater Sultanate of Brunei. But then the colonial European powers destroyed that.
