the point of the commercial is to get across the Jump in theme as minimalistic as possible.

Microsoft is smart at advertising unlike that OTHER company.

everybody knows what X-Box 360 is and what it can do.

the point is not to lure in hard core gamers who go on line like you YouTubers but to spark the interest of the casual market that Nintendo Wii has expertly locked.

in that respect this Commercial is brilliant.

I think this has actually something to do with the 360.

1: Their jumping, so "jump in" is literily.

2: People have fun and play together and let their skills see.

And it looks very attractive for the family, so they let their kids buy a 360 or the grown-ups want to get it.

If you let see a specific game, like a shooter. It doesn't look that fun to everyone.

Plus if you only show the console only, it wouldn't be that entertaining
