My Border "runs" every day at 11:00 and 18:00. You could set the clocks by him. The first time I saw him do this I thought he'd flipped. The speed he gets to is amazing. Aren't Borders great?
LOL The first time I saw my border do this was when I stood in the freezing cold waiting for her to "do her business". All of the sudden she takes off across the yard like someone hit her with a cattle prod! I was stunned. I watched her run full speed in circles around our little back yard for a minute (I swear she was smiling) and then *poof*, over. Now it's a regular thing! Very amusing!!
that's hilarious. I love that he thinks to go get his toy. Ours did this too. When he got a new toy, it kept him busy for a couple of hours as he ran through the house with the toy in his mouth, into every room, around every piece of furniture back and forth showing it off. When he did his crazy circuits inside the house, if you moved he'd bite your foot. If the other dog was lying in the floor instead of jumping over her, he'd use her as a spring board. BTs are GREAT fun.
omg i thought mine was just crazy..shes 10 now nd i havnt seen her do it in a while but she'd always do it wit somethin in her mouth and just leg it in circle..she also howls at the moon and when alarms go off... shes nuts :D
My border terrier does this around the house, me and my mom call it his ''laps'' and when hes running he'll past us and growl lol! He'll run and we'll say ''Ohh look hes doing his daily laps!'' Hes in great shape!
hahaha, My Border of 4 years old does this, I think it's something All Borders do, Tail between legs, head down, and Run! Kind of lik those fighter jets that wings go in, hahaha :p
mine does that lol. im pretty sure ours is clinically insane though. he hates other dogs and goes mad at them. i saw him chase away a rottweiler only the otehr day
i have a border terrier to, he is 2 and does that indoors so he can run round the back of sofas and bounce off the chairs and peoples heads if your in the wrong place at the wrong time! :D
my border is the same as this dog he is mad does it at least once a day he can be laid down nice and quite then he will just run around like an idiot its fun to watch though lol

he looks well like my border (archie) and he does the same thing except archie digs up the flower beds and the flowers and runs round the garden with the flowers in his mouth refusing to give them up. we call it a mad half hour
ahh, our dog does the same thing with a plastic bone, we call the bone his "I'll have it" bone. We tell him to go and play "I'll have it" and we then have to play a game of chase.
Man! excellent clip. I keep any visitors kids busy with 'See if you can get (whatever) off of rory.' Borders love the idea that you really want what the've got in their mouths....ours normally drops it with the excitement...
Thanks! I just happened to be testing out a new video camera a few years back, and caught my BTerrier Stu jump into "catch me!" mode for no apparent reason. My wife and brother just stood there and watched. As you can see, he actually runs into the house and gets a toy once he realizes he's playing "keep away" with nothing in his mouth.
