If you could find documentation that actually works as advertised. Tried to install Office 2010 using wine tricks ... the documentation I found had like 20 - 30 steps and it didn't come close to get the program working in Linux, but it was for Office 2007 ... spent hours, wouldn't work ... epic fail !
Do you have a way to run NetFlix Movies in Linux? ... will silverlight work in wine?
Hi @Retr0rob: I've tried installing and it works fine except that, creating graphs in excel, at some point the system prompts "not enough resources" something like that (i have 8GB of RAM, and 20GB of swap memory) so I don't understand what is lacking
@Spacemowicho You can indeed install it from a USB flash drive. If you have to do it from USB you can install without using WINETRICKS. Find the Office executable and basically use the procedure from my video "How to get Ubuntu 11 to open an .exe in Wine without the command line"
@bmetfan22 yes. You can either burn it to a cd named OFFICE12 or follow the method In my other office install video. If you follow the part where I install wine and just run the Office install executable it will work as well.
@milad4128 You are correct that the CD needs to be named OFFICE12. You can either copy the files from the CD to your desktop and burn them to a new CD that has the name OFFICE 12, OR you can copy the CD contents to your desktop and change the setup.exe to be executable (see my video on this "How to get ubuntu to open an .exe in wine"). Once that is done you can literally just install it by double clicking the setup.exe.

How should I burn the cd?, because it sends a error message that can't find an archive which it's inside a folder.
The cd must be burned without any carpet?
