It s time to change for the better Deaf life that we deserve to have it with our hearts to be very healthy. Also it s for Deaf babies/children s best interest in their future. This is why I m being an Tireless Advocate that I have not giving it up for so many years to fight and protect them by the bottom of my heart. I know I have had been trying to give out the positive reinforcements all along as I did the best I can give from my own true soul. That's all to it.
Thank you very much for this vlog! Now I want to make a point about "personal experience" which I think is very, very important. Personal anecdotes, stories and experiences are exceedingly important to share, because each life is a testimony to what Deaf people as a whole have endured. After reading "The Autobiography of Malcom X "when I was a teenager, my world view shifted and I understood in a very real way what Black people endured. I was a different person after reading that book.
Part two for my post below: So when someone like Carl shares his personal experiences, this is IMPORTANT and necessary, and should not be devalued. One could argue that The Autobiography of Malcom X is "just a bunch of anecdotes." It's not. It is "telling truth to power." The stories need to be told, and they need to be told from a Deaf perspective. I personally can't wait for the lecture.
@Banerika YES, thank you so much for your positive sharing with me all along. I tried so hard to educate them to understand for my being an Tireless Advocate. This is how I see my own personal experiences that has not been told yet. I have had holding it inside of me for so long that has not coming out yet. Some of it, I did shared but not everything yet. I feel it s very important for us all to tell the whole truth for what or why happens to us by these predjudical people who are against us.
Right on, You make me happy to see someone like you who have a very positive outlook that I m looking for a long time. I love your huge support of me and my thoughts in this vlog. It s a must for Deaf people to go and see his presentation. Very relieved to have you to be with us to reinforce Deaf people to be more open mind + share the truth from our own Deaf experiences. It s time for them to be heard the hard truth that people are avoiding to see it or listen about it. THANK SO MUCH! :)
@DeafSweetMind, it is also a must for hearing people to see this presentation. I am hoping that many ASL students and others who care about social justice and equality will come and have the opportunity to learn from Carl. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"--MLK.
@Banerika Of course, it will help them to understand it better about us and our Deaf values. Also, help them to be aware of it. Hearing people might be willing to adjust their own attitudes before it s too late. Does it makes sense?? ;)
