kwl do you need to be on wifi to use it or dose it load every1thing in it at one time becasue im getting an ipod touch and cant use wifi everywere

Are there just massive licensing fees required for automated turn by turn directions which are prohibitive for a free app? Anyway, this looks really cool and I look forward to trying it out. Duno if it will replace my beloved google maps, but this definitely has some great features.
