  • She's always looked like such a mutt since she cut this long hair off. I mean, she looked great in the early days and for 30 years after she looks like a box head with spikes coming out. I think of John Mellencamp going out as "Johnny Cougar" in the beginning. These artists should tell their idiot advisors to shove it up their asses. Bring back the long hair please. Frame the face so her goofy jaw doesn't look like a wood box -- very ugly.

  • the piano player is my piano teacher <3

  • love you babygirl

  • I've been lucky enough to see her in concert 5 times, from Bristol, Tennessee to Paso Robles, California; in an intimate venue with fewer than 30 people, and in a crowd of thousands. . . each time, SUPERB. What a treasure! This particular video is a delight -- THANK YOU!

  • she has matured like a good wine better by the day truly a great artist

  • Anne Murray always gives her best to everything she does.

  • Makes me think of a special person.........

  • I remember!

  • only reason she cant get into the american halls of fame for msuic is because she is canadian. i think the rules need to be changed

  • @yamahonkawazuki ya, her and Olivia Newton John and for that matter Helen Reddy too....

  • @yamahonkawazuki

Make it the "North American Hall"? I'm not criticizing; I think it'd be a good move since the two industries are so intertwined.

  • Hope you are right! However she stated on "One on One" that she would no longer sing publicly.

  • I hope she has a wonderful retirement. She worked so hard to bring so much joy to many people for many years.

  • @1jupotts - who said she retired?

She's retired, yeah, until her next CBC special.

  • @ApocalypsePlough Can't blame her for retiring, she's earned it. But I'd love to see her on CBC special!!

  • @CounterCultureLives - There was one on the CBC a few of days ago called "Duets."

It shows video of her singing with the women she sang duets with on her CD, including her daughter.

Her favourite was the one she did with Dusty Springfield, who was a friend of hers.

That's surprising to me. Didn't know they knew each other, let alone close friends.

You're an American, so I don't know where you could you see it.

    Try CBC's site.

  • Anne Murray is someone my entire family agrees on, we all love her.

  • I love her so much. Saw her in concert many times. I sure hope she is not done touring. Would love to see her again. I have always loved her version of this song. It should have been a bigger hit.

  • @kbakerkb - Read her book, sounds like she's done. (a very good read though, quite a life Anne has had.)

  • The man on piano, Pat Riccio Jr., is my piano teacher. He talks about Anne all the time :).

  • Just wholesomeness.

  • Isn't it a wonder she made it BIG and always kept her clothes on.

  • Was????? is!"

  • this is the same stage that The Carpenters sang on as well!!! Always loved this song. Anne Murray is simply wonderful. Her voice is priceless and have always loved her songs. She had such a range with her voice that is still wonderful today. Thanks for posting this song!!!

  • Anne Murray is the best! I love the way she looks here - freshfaced and wholesome! She is still gorgeous, even now - she makes my heart go pitty-pat!

  • sexy!!!!

  • Great song. Love her singing; would have been better with less brass/sax.

  • @bbrj127

I agree. It is a beautiful song and terrific vocal, but the "CBC" horn section is totally uncalled for.

  • Anne Murray is real class! Over the years I feel very lucky to have been able to attend quite few of her concerts in the USA over the decades!

  • Anne Murray, has a great voice and a great way to tell a story through her music. No matter what she sings, she's good. Miss seeing her around.

  • When she was in her early to mid-20s Anne was drop-dead gorgeous. And one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. I had the great fortune of working as a day-hire roadie at one her show in Lake Tahoe back in the 1980s. I was very impressed with her. Class act.

  • rayjr62 Anne is still gorgeous!!!!!

  • Not sure which version I like better...her's or Gordon's! Great posting.

  • Awesome tune and she's so hot!

  • I agree. She's a hottie!
