No offense to AN 94 lovers, but statistically this gun just sucks. People always say how the "high dMage" makes up for the horrid recoil, but I personally tested the gun and it does no more damage than the other assault rifles. AEK is far better IMO

@ghostiman Shotguns are for noobs because its a one shot kill at close range. Noobs can't get long range kills with rifles because they'll most likely try to get them by spraying and praying. LOL Especially the USAS 12 with the frag ammo, goddamn i have never seen such a noob gun in a game. All guns are easy to use, but it takes time to get good with them. Shotguns are the easiest to use what are you talking about. When people cant kill with rifles, they choose a shotgun.

this guy sounds like a CoD convert. fire rate and damage aren't everything. this gun has an amazing burst mode for longer range engagements. and dice said they will patch it to further enhance the burst mode.

The rate of fire on this gun is so bad none of its other good traits make up for it, most of the time I'll end up putting three bursts into a guy at close quarters and he'll kill me with 12 health. F2000 is just a much better gun all around.

I agree 100% I prefer 3 round burst over fully automatic, and in BF2 it was my favorite rifle but on 3 its just so pathetic. Also is it me or does its seem like its less about the power of the gun, and more about the fire rate? I have every gun and the best guns on the game seems to be F2000(arguably the best) A91, Famas, and As Val(my fav) all 4 kills so much faster then any other guns.

I never bothered with the AN-94 in Bad Company 2, I used whatever I needed to to get unlock the G3, and I never turned back. I am a little disappointed with the G3 in Battlefied 3. It's just nowhere near as accurate as it was in BC2. In my humble opinion, the AEK is the fucking daddy in Battlefield 3, by far my best weapon.

What I find fucked. Is that the AN-94 in its two shot burst will fire at 1800 rpm. (Says the Russian gun commercial :P) Both bullets should be hitting very close to eachother (less than a cm apart). In BF3... even the two round burst feels... sluggish. It pisses me off.

1. In full auto the AN94 has a fire rate of 600 rpm. Which is crap considering it has x3 the recoil of other assault rifles.

2. In 2-round-burst the AN94 has a fire rate of 900 rpm, and the recoil is not felt until the 2nd shot is fired. Thus, you can put 2 rounds into the same target without having to wait for the recoil to settle. Its a good gun, learn how to use it.

3. 0% health occurs from rounding down. You have 0.49% health left, or less.

However, the experience itself is diminished due to the low player count and the number of unskilled players on the console. @dikkeoliebol You can't make the an-94 do more damage because all the assault rifle except the G3 fire either the 5.56x45 or the 5.45x39 which are very similar rounds. The problem is the high recoil, this gun fires a low recoil round and is heavy for that kind of a weapon so it should have very low recoil especially since on full auto the rate of fire is very low there is no reason for this gun to have so much recoil.
