Hi, where can i get a good dictionary file, I have BT4 running in Virtual Box with an alfa awus036h. I set my router to WEP and successfully got the password, but WPA is not as straight forward. So far i have figured out i need a dictionary file of some sort? where can i find out the next steps to take. also i noticed a post regarding password complexity so if somebody has a password of Liverpool but use L1v3rP00L is this really hard to crack?
when i start to get HANDSHAKE it does not get handshake and either gets very low packets or say AP and Wlan0 CHANNELS are different ??? why everything goes ok.and wep cracking is also ok..but not wpa and wpa2
@Artisticmindd That's because aircrack wasn't designed to hack WPA and WPA2 keys. The problem with a PSK is that you have no way of telling what it might be. If the dictionary that you use doesn't contain the key, then you are screwed. Like some other guy said, this person has implanted his dictionary with the key, so that it looks like he hacked it.

For the love of f***, people! The dictionary attack tested exactly 2 (two!) keys. In other words, the passphrase was put in the dictionary file beforehand.
So how exactly is it news that you can crack a password you already know? Granted, a similarly short password can be cracked relatively fast, but this "proof of concept" doesn't deserve that name.

iv got tripple boot with all operating systems... but am new to linux... i used kismac... but it just couldnt get in... and my G122 is only suported for injection in aircrack in linux... was just wondering... what programs where u using for this???
its much simpler with Kismac (with mac). i cant afford a mac so i use linux, with airodump-ng...edc and hacking wpa & wpa2 is easy, but it relies on a dictionary attack, so dont use a word that you could find in it. !!!

:) The first language in my country is spanish ---> anywhere, you need a good dictionary; there are some tools to make dictionaries from some documents with random words.

its faster with airolib-ng to pre-compute the wpa key (at around 1,400 k/s )

i have been able to connect directly to xbox live through ethernet, but i cant connect wirelessly.
when i set up my network in xbox live it asks for my WPA network key, and when i go to
my d-link router site, the passphrase (network key) which i used is not visible and hidden in bullets.
so my real question is how do i find out my WPA network key? which unfortunately i forgot.

Here are the steps to answer your own question:
1. Read the title of the video
2. Read the title of what you just asked.
Easy, 2 steps right? Maybe you should do some actual research, and see why there is almost 0 difference between 128 Bit WEP and 64 Bit...
Learn a programming language like python, or perl, or php... it's easier than algebra for concept.
Also this guy had several shell scripts that were pre-made for the video (to make it cleaner), so learn how to write shell scripts.
