  • how do u save the sliced samples so that you can load/assign them to pads ??

    PLEASE HELP

  • @pozzog main screen, shift-save then change the type to save a sound with the data wheel

  • I know that sample is a spanish record i think Rafael lol

  • Very good an i love the tune at the end of the video.. 10/10

    Make some moooorrrreeee

  • mpc is a whole oher world, but I can defnitely dig it, just copped a 2000xl

  • I miss the xl from time to time but maschine is just so damn fast!

  • WANT TO KNOW EVERTHING ABOUT SAMPLING ON THE MPC. GO HERE SAMPLINGTIPS.BLOGSPOT.COM

  • its not what u sample its how u sample

  • @crazyroon10 can you make hip hop out of disco records? maybe some rock records as well?

  • @Shiro786 yea u can will it be difficult probbaly more then mabey a soul sample but it is possible

  • maschine is dope but im ill on this mpc ...

  • i reakon the mpc500 is the best chop in numbers is more on point and ya can get super fast who needs wave forms , and autochop

  • can this be done on the 2000 classic

  • Nice.....Need to try Native Instruments Maschine tho...Much faster

  • @Taurus602 @Taurus602 may be but i can take my mpc500 anywhere and work from my studio wiv out a comp , and the sound on a mpc is much much better , and yes i chop in numbers and maschine might chop faster and have auto chop ,but the mpc500 has made me a king choper and, i can chop fuck out of anything anywhere and get my chops perfect , you cant beat choping it ya slef and ya cant beat choping numbers , people are just lazy ,, apex twin dont use auto chop , maschine is just a controller

  • @XBASS247 All I said was the Maschine is faster at chopping which is TRUE. If you don't want to auto chop in Maschine don't use the feature. Do your research on Maschine, it's a hardware/software based INSTRUMENT, not just some midi controller.

  • @XBASS247 you have to admit chopping with the 500 is annoying man..i sit in front of my shit for so long tryna chop

  • In the beginning, I thought it's Amir from expertvillage.

  • Man...now that i have a 1000 with JJ OS....chopping on the mpc 2000xl just feels like a joke. The chop function, I mean. I know u can be kinda precise if u have the bpm timed out....but the JJ OS just completely SONS the akai OS for the 2000xl in every way. Even the free version. lol

  • how come when i sample a song it doesnt show the waves..?

  • Does somebody know how I use the effectboard ? I see that you can put the effects on 4 drum programs !? How I use the effects for ONE sample and how I can use it with the Note Variation Slider ?

  • Thanks, I know how to chop on the mpc 2000XL now. I don't have money to buy this DVD I'd really buy it. I'm a young producer I believe I mastered the program I use (FL Studio) and I want to move to hard ware now. The 2000XL is the best made mpc.

  • i need some new drums to play with...anyone know any songs were i can sample some plain clean sharp drums in edison..tell me some names and ill share alot

  • woah woah !

once theyre chopped how do we assign them to pads??

    PLEASE HELP!

i've got a 2000 btw not XL if that makes a difference

  • @goredsox1792 bro same here. you ever find out?

  • @ChrisEgnew yep hit me on the inbox with any questions i'll do my best

  • Up to 16?

    damn.

but i guess u can cut that sample in to then cut both into 16ths right?

    nice tut. btw

  • Craig Jones from Slipknot used this in the M.F.K.R Days.

  • HAHA

    Can only chop in 16's

    You poor buggger

  • huh?

  • @jaidingo yea the mpc1000 jjosxl chopshop is perfection, i had to sell it to live though now i have a borrowed xl

  • i don't own one, but i imagine you can always take a chopped sample and chop it again. but i thought i read somewhere on youtube that the mpc2000 can't quantize more than 16ths.

  • haha i cant believe i dident figure this out, thats hella simple

  • ok.. how do i assign the zones to the pads??

  • go to the zone screen decide how many zones u want and click open window and slice sound, it will make a new program and assign it to a drum holder

  • Or if u do like what this tutorial did he didnt assign them to pads yet. So U go to programs (shift 6)and hit any pad. if it says off that means there is no sound loaded on that pad so scroll it till the sounds u chopped start to appear.

  • NICE TUTORIAL,BUT WHERE'S PT 2?!

  • this guy sounds like devin the dude yo lol

  • A nerdy white version maybe.

  • I want to buy an MPC-2000 not the XL, is it just as easy to chop in the 2000?

  • It's slowed down, not as fluent. But some people like the sound of it better.

  • It's just as easy but there's no auto zone or slice

  • hey, i have the MPC2000 not an XL version. that particular zone feature which you can ask how many zones you want...its not on the mpc2000. someone help me with this situation.

  • i wanna make beats so bad but i have no idea where to start. should i buy one?

  • get fruity loops

  • u right, start small, then work ur way up

  • don't understand why you would start out with a 3 1/2 bar sample, then chop into 1/7, why not 2 bars into 1/8?

  • because the samples will be getting triggered from the pads anyway... how u chop the samples (apart from the start and end) doesn't matter that much... u'll be rearaging everything when u come 2 make ur beat anyway

  • can you record any sound on one of these and play it back and how long can you record on this thing like maximum time

  • how do u get the sample into the chop zone i have a mpc2000 and its just blank in the zone area ,, the screen is fine but im not seeing the waves where ur sample would be ,,,,, can anyone help me out ,, thanks nice vid but not showing how to put the sample into the chop zone

  • i cant get it to play different zones while im in the zone screen

  • do u chop the same way with the xl as u do with the regular 2000? pls let me know how to do it if it is different @ remysteel1@ aol. com re: mpc choppin from youtube. if anyone knows pls email me. thanks

  • how do you get the nv slider to work on the 2000xl had it for a few months now and cant get it to assign to the tuning cheers m8

  • definitivamente FL STUDIO is better!..

  • I got 2 fuck wit tha MPC I don't like computer sounds. MPC makes it more gritty to me

  • yo is that a fact ?

  • @KashAkaTwo45s

    a sampler is a sampler

  • @ThisIsCyfe you're right in a way but the mpc 2000XL does have that "gritty sound" mainly because its a 16bit sampler. The newer akai sampler's use 24bit samplers which give you that clean high quality sound, it doesn't have that classic sound as the 2000XL, MV, SP, or even the s3000.

  • @rickylascaze001

12 bit is gritty. 16 ad 24 bit are clear. cd quality is 16 bit. you guys are so busy trying to recreate a sound that u are going backwards in a bad way

  • @ThisIsCyfe yeah true but that's what I like and that's what I'm comfortable with.

  • @rickylascaze001

yeah, i mean thats what its all about. i go into these videos and dudes straight up lie about how a machine sounds like they work for akai. making music aint about the flashy gear, its about what suits ur needs

  • @ThisIsCyfe Well said.

  • @KashAkaTwo45s plus, HARDWARE is always WAY better than SOFTWARE! i get all confused and cant be organized and focused if im working on like FL studio or ableton. im about to order my mpc 2000 xl from ebay

  • @KashAkaTwo45s computers do have there place though mpc is better for beats and computers are better if your working with notes together .........THEY ARE UNSTOPPABLE!

  • Yeah really is this a fact?

  • no its no

  • Al Green

  • i know wat a sample is, wat is the sample used in this video

  • wat is this sample?

  • a sample is something taken from another thing. for example, a quote used in a movie could be sampled to be used in a song. and sampling that quote would be this machines job

  • Hey whats up,can you chop beats with the mpc 2000 nice video thxs

  • i have some problems with finding the start and end point with samples on the mpc 1000, anyone got some tips?

  • very good dvd....i got it and it helped me out just fine, a few topics coulda been explained into further detail but the dvd is on point, i recommand it if you're just starting out like me.

  • oh lord the opening beat is fresh.
