I think I am bisexual. I am twenty four and my first relationship was an on-off relation with an older man when I was 21. Then I dated a female last year. No sex was involved with either partners, so it's hard for me to determine which what my true sexuality is, but I am comfortable calling myself a bisexual man.

Can anyone of you legitametly prove that this isn't a choice (conscious or not)? It isn't genetic, and in many cases, people change from bi, or gay. It also isn't natural, healthy and the divorce rate for married gay couples is much higher than regulars'. I don't care if you "feel" like that's who you are or how certain you're so "sure" it's part of you. Give me good honest evidence. (It's also going to be hard to sway me because, I don't think that sex for fun is ok.)

Ultimately bisexual, for most of us, means we do not care who we fall in love with, we choose a person for the person and not what gender they are. bisexual are generally more "straight" then "gay" and they eventually tend to want the security and comfort of a more 'traditional' relationship. It leaves a lot of gays n lesbians feeling used.....betrayed. Gays and lesbians can't avoid prejudice, but bi can...since bi can go both ways anyway. Plus the label is necessary, otherwise straight folks may not think GLBT existed.

Can anyone of you legitametly prove that this isn't a choice (conscious or not)? It isn't genetic, and in many cases, people change from bi, or gay. It also isn't natural, healthy and the divorce rate for married gay couples is much higher than regulars'. I don't care if you "feel" like that's who you are or how certain you're so "sure" it's part of you. Give me good honest evidence. (It's also going to be hard to sway me because, I don't think that sex for fun is ok.)

Ultimately bisexual, for most of us, means we do not care who we fall in love with, we choose a person for the person and not what gender they are. Its about love and caring for another human being more than yourself. Not SEX. Some use it as a cover and that is fine, they are not ready to come out to the world. As for the divorce rate, I could care less what your statistics show.

If you decide to settle down then you are in love with one PERSON. That PERSON may be male or female. When you’re dating, date a person. Bi people can ignore the gender. Once you decide to go for a relationship, keep it simple and be monogamous. I hate the excuses people say aboout bisexuals: "oh it's a choice" or "they're opportunists" its bull. I didn't wake up one day and say "Hay I think I want to like both men and women." No that's just something that I can't control and is what it is. Opportunists are people that take any opportunity they get. Not every bisexual gets with any guy or girl. I really hope that someday we can put aside the fundamental, biblical hatred of people who don't fall into the scripture's sense of right/wrong, hell/damnation. life or death. I'm was constantly made fun of at school to the point I couldn't take it anymore. no one but my friends and parents know I'm bisexual. I wanna come out but it'll be too hard on me. I came out when I was 9 but they forgot about it. I remember how hard it was. Girls came up to me and told me I was gonna be a lesbian. Girls were scared I'm gonna hit on them. bisexual are generally more "straight" then "gay" and they eventually tend to want the security and comfort of a more 'traditional' relationship. It leaves a lot of gays n lesbians feeling used.....betrayed. Gays and lesbians can't avoid prejudice, but bi can...since bi can go both ways anyway. Plus the label is necessary, otherwise straight folks may not think GLBT existed.
