I just started taking piano lessons so Mr. McKnight's response is definitely over my head, but I copied this down so I could eventually learn it. He seems to be such a nice guy in interviews I have seen. He has been my favorite musician since 1992! Great job on the cover man! I hope I can soon...
@CarlosMusiq143 It took me a few days, though I never really got it down either. If you are struggling in identifying the chords, try looking them up on a site such as pianochorddictionary . com. I have not used this site personally, but it might point you in the right direction. Post your video once you get it right! Good luck.
@CarlosMusiq143 This is the response I got on Twitter directly from Mr. McKnight, "it's Important that both hands play independently simple changes complex melody over the top of it". Second message, "b major 7 for 8 f# major 7 for 8 in the verse the b section is trickier". Third message, "b major 7/ f# over b flat/ e6 #3 /e flat augmented/ b major 7/c# major". I must admit, it was quite something to have such a detailed reply from a musical legend!
