It's unbelievable how I've played golf with numerous people and not a single one has explained how to maintain the swing arc like you did. Once I started to become aware of my right arm, I realized how I shortened my swing all the time by breaking down my left arm. Thanks again for the tips!
Martin what would be some good ways to practice in doors without being able to hit a wiffle ball. Are there any good positional drills regarding impact position with the Tour Striker?
@secretogolf Sorry for the delay. I would alternate swinging a heavy club and then a shaft without a head. I will make a video tip on this. Good question!
this works !! so i read hundreds of youtube video's bud this is the one you need to watch 1.000 times and all ball flight straight and a 5 iron goes about 160 yards also straight all the time without effort.
So any golf swather should have the same strips on the shoulders to demonstrate the up and down turn leading the swing. Thank you so much mr. sticker !!
@vreeke777 Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad this video helped you with your game! It's simple stuff that makes the biggest difference. Cheers, Martin
@HKgolfer132 To maximize sweet spot awareness, try the TS Pro 7x. It has a smaller face than the "Little One" training club on the market and helps with forward lean at impact.
The hard part, for those of us who have been swinging incorrectly for years (flipping, etc.), is actually "believing" this. Not that WE don't believe it in our head, but it's training our bodies to "believe" it. Hard to break a bad habit, even though I've watched professionals swinging that easy for years.
I recently tried to apply extensor action to my swing and I was not able to get a good wristcock. I've read that extensor action should be applied at the base of the left thumb (for right-handed golfers), but it seems impossible for perform this motion without griping tighter in the last three fingers of my right hand. I also felt that there was a lot more tension in my right forearm. Any advice you could provide would provide would be much appreciated!
@Cushdrive Adding structure to the backswing with right arm extensor action is a tough lesson. I wanted to leave my coach after he showed me this nuance of the swing. I agree, it is miserable, but like anything, becomes more comfortable after it is trained into your action. People are all different, but I agree that learning to keep the right arm "long" while having supple wrists is tough like making circles on your tummy and patting your head!
Good video, I feel like Davis Love as well with his super wide arc and long swing, all the commentary as well, made people believe that was their best route to hitting it further when it only made the alignments more difficult to achieve. I think a better model with be the compact swing of Darren Clarke.
@gmbtempe Good point. The appearance of "compact" or "loose" seems to be related to what the arms are doing during the initial move on the backswing and whether the right arm bends early or late and its relative position to the right side. Darren Clarke sure does make it look simple and "compact" for sure. That look lends itself to his stocky frame vs DL3's thinner build.

@cmartingolf I really like what you're teaching your students. And, Dan Pohl is an excellent example, as are you.

I know this training aid is supposed to help you hit down on the ball but does it help you hit it on the center of the clubface
