It's so interesting to compare how Lambert plays this scene to how Sally Ann Down does in the film version. Here, Anne feels she's accomplished something in getting Frederik away from the theater, and feels like that -- along with some comments about "that Armfeldt woman's" age -- will easily win the battle. Down, on the other hand, plays Anne as more knowing and worried; when Frderik says he's going for a walk, she has an idea what he's really up to.
Oh, and Howes' expression when Frederik names his wife's age = LMFAO!
