i love her and i hate that she used auto tune , i really do ! she had worn a shirt and i agree with the shirt now she is saying it is OK i think it sounds a little hypocritical to me , and i have never disagree with her because she is always just so sure of what she is saying ( but then again it shows she was  just experimenting) because she used it on one song i do not want her to used in on her albums never again , xtina has a great voice she doesn't need auto tune .

If they can't sing or can't hit a single note, they just use it for every single song and note and are basically a robot. On Bionic, she never used it to hit a note or anything, the only time she used it was to be creative and create a different song such as Elastic Love and Monday Morning (which barely even uses it). So no, it isn't really hypocritical.

Bionic was created very carefully and it was well sketched out between her and her team and I honestly think it was a OFF THE HOOK ALBUM! Now Elastic Love and a few of the Auto tunes yes I admite was not my favs to listen to all the time I always sunk into her voice Prima Donna she is very Vocal and so much more on the Album she gave it a try it sounded good but she is best with her Vocals and her Rawr Creativity she dont need the technology to make a song work!

I think Auto tune is fun to use, as long as it's not used in all the songs on an album if you can truly sing and you have talent then you should be able to put down the auto tune for a second and give your fans and the audience listening to your music some raw material, show them what you can do without a machine making your voice "flawless".

I feel auto-tune has its place in genres like dance and electro pop where you can experiment with it. Also, it's great for parodies since comedy gives off a laid back vibe and auto-tuning everyday stuff is so funny. In other genres it does not fit because it sounds electronic and fake (ex: rock, pop, hip hop.) Maybe when the mainstream media can take a break from auto tune (as we did with chipmunk effects, stereo panning, reverb) and let it grow in the electronic genres we can appreciate it.

In songs like "hurt", if you have a good ear you can clearly hear the software in places. Autotune is the industry standard, and that's a fact. It's not going to be noticeable to the average listener and I'm sure they try and keep quiet that it's always used, but they shouldn't because autotune has gotten a horrible reputation.
