Best 27:05 minutes of my life. Thank you I now realize the true meaning of Peace, Happiness and Freedom. I accept reality for what it is and not for unrealistic expectations.
Hello Yuttadhammo. My name is Olivier, i live in Denmark and i am 15 years old. I meditate up between 1-3 times a week, i am a newbeginner. I am really into the nature, and i would like to know where your are in this video? Also you can maybe help me, cause i am a bit addicted to my computer, but nothing else. I also philosophize alot, and my meditation really helps alot. I will look forward to your answer :)
@Electronishment He is in a forest in Sri Lanka. If you want to ask him questions, I would suggest going to my.sirimangalo (dot) org and starting a profile. You can ask questions there and get involved in a great online community of Buddhist meditatiors.
i do meditation and to a certain extent i'm not addicted to things and most people but what's difficult is to be detached to your small kids. You need not only to do your DUTY to them but make them feel special and be warm to them. If we only do our duty and get detached due to our benefits of advanced meditation, they will be lost and may develop sadness etc?
please advice. However i will not stop meditating. thank you Banthe

Venerable sir, you gave an excelent explanation of the three charactaristics. I especially found usefull your emphasis on anatta as a teaching regarding our inability to controll reality. All too often people use Anatta as the basis of an ontological philosophy that is utterly pointless in terms of seeking Nibbana, but you demonstrate the practical use of Anatta.
hi, i was just wondering about "astral projection" i heard that with meditation and such, eventually it will lead to an "out of body experience" or astral projection. i just wanted to know if this was true or not?
@Kurzxclan What you're thinking of may be a different type of meditation, with a different goal and different ways of achieving that goal. Try searching Merkaba meditation if your interested in out of body :) The possibilities are endless, I hope you find what you are looking for
why my head is acking so bad after meditation and in the day because i am meditating every moment .is that normal i cant stand, it hurts in a region of third eye. My mind is seems to be emty and head aches what to do please help.
@emis2004 hey if i were you i would take up long distance running to improve the cardiovascular system and practice breathing. the fitter you are the more comfortable you feel within your body. i find that if i dont fine tune my breathing i either breathe too much or too little and either way i get a head ache. it takes practice and continual attention like a long distance runner. that's how i did it. I hope it leaves you soon
I also want to ask about cultivating during vippassna. Is it skillfull to bring up "ideas or concepts" during vippassna? Eg: Go back to a "problem or dispute" during the day or week and basically unravel the ignorance and see the mind made issue. Or is it best to just adress anything as it comes up and see it as it is, seperate from ur true self? Eg: Pleasure during meditation..see it as pleasure period, not urs or anyones just a fleeting thoughtform
Yuttha great vid and topic this week. To the point u made of parents disliking the detachment of theyre children after a vippassana course. i have thought of the primary reason ppl have children and what i came up with was ego. Having a child is like duplicating ur "self" . I think it also ties in with the primitive/tribal mindset of adding to ur "family".
I like al your videos :)

Does the desire to change the world ceases when seeing all things as they are?

@emis2004 From my experience it will pass. Just press on with your meditation and be sure you're not tensing your facial muscles.
