its not how fast you press it, there is a certain pattern you need to tap it in because the controller does not read most of your pushes

i use my index since the first button mashing games of old days... epic put a system in so modded controllers wont win if they go so fast. the few duels i lose r actually because im going faster than normal and the game thinks i cheat. lol its great! excluding the games fuck ups, i have never lost

I just press B at a steady rate and I usually win all my chainsaw duels. Someone also told me that if you spin the left analog stick in circles then it helps. I don't know but it might help.

i play on insane, i pop to their cover and i chainsaw duel them if they are facing me , if not, SNEAK attack right from their nuts. haha . Another tip is if you find your enemy in cover facing the other way run behind him and chainsaw him. It works alot in places like Ruins and BLoodrive becuz you can wall bounce.

I tried a chainsaw duel in a local game on a player who was afk... apperently you don't have to do anything to win a chainsaw duel. If you just stand still it will sometimes end up as a ties :/. I wonder what there explanation is for this one.

I think you have to play against people for chainsaw duels (probably doesnt work on npcs)

A true pro doesn't engage in chainsaw battles, because if you chainsaw you die yourself too because ur standing still as a target for like 4 seconds, the only reason people chainsaw is because they cant get a kill otherwise due to lag or lack of skill. Or they just got the game and find it fun to do, later realizing how lame it actually is.
