I actually own one of these weapons - and they are very well made and sturdy and can hold up to a lot of abuse (lol). They are not at all like the $5 foam weapons at the toy store. Not even close. I can see SCA people really liking these weapons. They look great and they hold up well.
Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but it is high quality too. So if you're into this kind of thing, it's worth the money. If you're not, get the cheap stuff. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, though.
