  • tanks, max, sounds nice. glad to hear microtones, closer to fractal "reality"

  • @realself1 Yes, I agree with you - I like your expression, "fractal reality".

  • @MaxRidgway and I like what you said about the refreshing qualities of unpredictable results when sonifying fractal images; yes, we need new sounds we would never dream up ourselves. Now, for me, the question is, what is the relationship of the fractal 'reality' to our own reality? I think, it's our present reality without the mind filtering and interpreting it. or at least, resembles the transition from mind to non-locatable non-self.

    yeah, baby.

  • @realself1 well said - I think Mandelbrot's book was called "The Fractal Geometry of Nature", meaning that fractals, with all their chaos and unpredictability, express and describe reality better than any other form of mathematics. Fractal images (and music) do seem to resonate on a very deep level of consciousness.

  • Interesting. I wonder if fractal music influenced Johnny Greenwood's soundtrack for 'There Will Be Blood?"

  • This is absolutely and disturbingly great

  • @desenreda Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked it!

  • This is genius.

When I first discovered the Mandelbrot set, and the pseudo-random nature of fractal geometry, I actually thought of doing this myself, but being a rock bassist Luddite, I had no Idea how to go about it.

This stuff truly takes the mind to a different place, I'm gonna listen to it loud, on a walkman, at night, surrounded by nature.

  • Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
