Good looking dog, I hope she is all better now! I have two labs at home and they are definitely part of the family.......punishment for them would be making them sleep on the floor instead of the bed! haha
You're the best kind of dog owner. Allie gets exercise, is a real part of the family (not left out neglected in a yard) and she has a job which is so important to working dogs. They want to be there for us and make us happy. They protect us, are there for us when we're upset, and entertain us, not to mention the unconditional love. Thank you so much for your informative videos and the heartwarming ones about Allie : )
hey, hope that allie's recovery is coming along nicely. those 3 months of rest must be coming to an end soon, hope to see an update video in the future and see allie happy and healthy again on your next adventure. ..- pyro
@1the4pyro8guy8 There is an update vid on my channel (Verilioness) and she IS coming along nicely. Nutn's not going to take her out this season just so that he can do justice to her healing time, but she's making nice progress. Thanks for asking! -- Veri

awww lil head tiltng confusedness @ 20:39 ! we love her :) whenever i see her on your adventures I always feel she gives something more to the experiance & is another friend riding along side for the trip and having a laugh. Bless her
That dog did make me cry! I want a lab so bad, but I just can't give it the quality of life I feel it should have right now, so I wait. In time, I can get one. By the way, Allie has a beautiful coat, great looking dog :)
That dog did make me cry! I want a lab so bad, but I just can't give it the quality of life I feel it should have right now, so I wait. In time, I can get one.
Very touching video. People just don't know or realize the importance that a special pet brings to their lives. It's clear Allie loves you very much!! My wife and I have had similar experiences with our pets. We wish Allie a speedy recovery!! Thanks for sharing:-)
All of you at TNP home base....... This was very moving to see Allie first come into the room and hear your voices and see you. She is truly more than just a canine. I'm very sorry I missed the middle of this as I would have loved to have been a small part of this chapter in the project as Allie is surely an integral part of TNP. Best wishes.
I really hope Allie is doing well at the present time.I am looking forward to seeing her in tnp.Can you make a third update?just to see how she is doing, hope you get well soon!
I Loved my dog very very very much he was like our brother (me and my brother) even though he was deaf that did not stop him at all we trained him on our own Signs and all, even when we would leave for school or something he would always lay infront of the door and wait for us to come home so i completely understand where you are coming from when you say that it takes her a while to adjust I am even getting a tattoo of him on my chest he was such a badass dog
I was reading a column about the SEAL team 6 and the dog that they used to help take out Osama. They said that it may have made a custom tactical vest! It made me think of Allie. When she gets better she can carry all that heavy ammo around for you on your run and guns!
I moved, changed jobs, changed homes, changed a lot of things in my life and have totally missed out on TNP over the past month or more. It bugs the shit out of me to know I missed out on all of this.... I'd have gladly given at least $100 for Allie's surgery. She's part of all our families now, thanks to you Nutn. It'll be a long 3 months, but we'll all be there with her. Cant wait to see her on the trails again. Get well Allie !!
I found your video the day Allie had surgery as my dog blew out his acl the same day. So his surgery is in two days (I didn't wait 3 months like you did, so hopefully my dog won't have arthritis like Allie does).
Your videos are helping me see what to expect, and helps me to cope. Thanks so much for posting
@DebbiinCalifornia I really hope your dog doesn't get arthritis either, but any time there is injury or trauma: Arthritis has a possibility of occuring.
I put down my 12.5 yr old golden named Samantha two months. As many others do as well, I understand the bond and the very real heartbreak associated with watching you're four-legged family member suffer. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I hope Allie's recovery is comfortable and the avoids any further such issues so she can get back on the trail with you. I've learned a ton from your videos. Strangely enough, this is the first video that has provoked my remarks.
Sorry to hear about the ACL tear adn surgery. She'll get back going soon, but I hate to say it but the likelihood of blowing the other one out is great for an active dog. The circles I run are with competition retrievers (mostly labs) and these dogs have tons of drive. They go hard retrieving. On these dogs, they usually lose the second one soon after the first one is repaired and healed and they get back to their normal activity level. Good luck with this and hope she heals up well!
Hope Allie is well! I missed this video updates and hope recovery is well for Allie and the TNP family. Prayers go out for the TNP family and Allie for a speedy recovery. Dog injuries are so hard on the family. Hope she is ready for next season.
We wish your dog a speedy recovery. I got choked-up when I heard the dog verbalize its feelings of being left at the vet. I know you were so happy to get the dog home with the "PACK" - and give it plenty of TLC..... Thank you for the great work you do and how you conduct yourself in a honorable fashion in the vids you do. May God Bless you and your family.
We had a dog that needed surgery too, and I hated leaving him at the vet. But so glad that there are vets out there willing to try something new to help a member of the family live a longer, happier life! Best wishes to you and your family and God bless Allie!
Get a puppy while you still have Allie... She can teach it the ways of the force, and it will give her something to do in her post-mountaineering days.
Feed her raw red meat too, its good for her health.
Mrs. Nutnfancy is right; Mom knows best! Seriously, I love it when you include Allie in the vids; great family stuff and thanks for sharing with us. By the way, there is such a thing as Pet Health Insurance. I know because I had it on my dog and it really helped with the big bills (we had surgery too). Our 4-legged family members are important and it's best to prepare to handle their health issues like we would our own. All the best Nutnfancy family!
It moves me too see all the support for Allie and your family within TNP. Helping friends and family is what its all about and its awesome to see those values being held in TNP. It makes me proud to be apart of TNP and to be an American. Happy Easter guys God bless
3 months! poor girl, hope she gets well soon. I said it when you first brought up the training vids...DO IT! lol, i know your bsy though. funny thing is i would compleatly understand if you decided to quit the TNP...i dont know how you do it
just put her in your backpack for backpacking season. weight for puppypower. or was it firepower?lmao. she will be better before you know it. great job gettin her fixed up.
You are married to very sweet and pretty lady. A lot cuter than you!! hahaha ACL repairs for humans and animals can be difficult to recover from and even more difficult to ever fully recover. The anatomy is so delicate it is wonder the ACL is as strong as it is. Just think of those little fibrous bands being able to keep the knee from pulling forward or backward under all the stress they get. You've captured something on this video that is very moving, but I'm not sure what it is. Thank you!
hay im wanting to buy a knife from this website but im looking for a lockback blade for skinning the one knife im not so sure is a lock back but it does look like it is can you check it out for me?
Normally when I see a "dislike" on a video i get no reaction... But for some reason I am actually angry to see that 15 people so far have disliked this video... Im hoping they were all miss clicks and not actual opinions because if they really disliked this video they should reconsider their ongoing consumption of oxygen...
Nutn family I am glad the surgery went well, now hoping for a speedy recovery and looking forward to her return to the project. Get well soon Allie.
i see vets in usa no cheap like over here! but as a member of family theres nothing a loving owner would not pay,i hate seein animals in pain..much love from lola to allie
God bless you, we hope allie is doing good, i havent being paying any attention to youtube or tnp so i didnt know, so God bless again, and i under stand how it is because our dog is the same way
My dog Buster goes in for the same thing the 5th of May. He tore his left rear ACL playing in the yard with our other dogs. 3 months is a long time to keep a dog inactive. Good luck with Allie`s rehab.
Thank you for the update, glad to hear that she is doing well. Speedy recovery to hear. In a future video with Mrs. Nutnfancy it would be funny to see Nutn "knife check" her. It would be great to see her whip out multiple knives like Nutn usually does, or fail and have Nutn lecture her like he does to other TNPers that fail "knife checks".
If Allie doesn't like that rigid plastic collar which is very restrictive, you can get a great product called the Comfy Cone which is a lot more comfortable for them but works just as well. Not associated with the company, but I bought one for my dog Millie and it worked perfectly. :)
Nice vid, glad you received some financial help for the surgery. Best of luck to Allie in her recovery. Keep up the good work Veri,Nutn, and Mrs, Nutn.
Nutnfancy, I was truly moved by this and I am so glad that Allie is going to get well. Your family seems so great and I completely understand what Allie represents and I wish you the very best! Your videos have more than inspired me and have accentuated my love of the outdoors and I have learned so much from you I don't know how to thank you. I am looking forward to your next videos. Cheers and once again, all the best to Allie and your family!
All the best for a speedy recovery, she'll be fine!!! I lost my best friend Charlie, a big black French Standard, a few years ago...it's strange how they become a part of us.
I would love to see your dog training videos! I have two great danes. Loretta who is almost two and I trained her well. I just got a 11 week old little boy and then got sick with pneumonia. So my training has been slacking, but I am doing all I can do. I love your vids and breakdowns. Keep up the good work, take care of that pooch, and thanks for everything. I'll upload and send you some vids of my pups!
reminds me of when we took our pit bull, rottweiler mix and found out that sometime ago before he was ours he took some bird shot to the rear leg, I was only a little and we knew who did I was ready do go and beat him half to death but that was before he was ours and he don't notice it in fact we wouldn't of unless we had exrays cause he was limping and no the bird shot wasn't the problem
Its good to know Allie got a loveing family and is on her way to recovery hope you get well soon Allie
I love my dogs but this makes me appreciate them that much more. The JRTS love to hunt and fish. They are great dogs as long as you take time with them. Rocky and Angie hope Allie has a speedy recovery.
Too bad everyone isn't a responsible pet owner, can't stand it when people use the oh its an animal it supposed to be treated like that excuse. Don't get a dog then if you cant treat it as a part of your family, that's kinda the point of having a pet.
And you are so right bout those dog training vids...Really hoping you post dog training vids at some point. my family had a spaniel when I was a young kid and we didn't know how to train her so unfortunately we never got the same potential you get out of Allie. I plan on having a dog as a part of my "pack" as you put it. And knowing how to train a dogness friend up would be awesome. Keep up the good work Nutn.
Good looking dog, I hope she is all better now! I have two labs at home and they are definitely part of the family.......punishment for them would be making them sleep on the floor instead of the bed! haha

Sitting here on the couch w/ my two cocker spaniels, they started whimpering when Allie was whimpering.
Brought tears to my eyes. Glad she is back home and headed for a speedy recovery.

reminds me of when we took our pit bull, rottweiler mix and found out that sometime ago before he was ours he took some bird shot to the rear leg, I was only a little and we knew who did I was ready do go and beat him half to death but that was before he was ours and he don't notice it in fact we wouldn't of unless we had exrays cause he was limping and no the bird shot wasn't the problem
Its good to know Allie got a loveing family and is on her way to recovery hope you get well soon Allie

Too bad everyone isn't a responsible pet owner, can't stand it when people use the oh its an animal it supposed to be treated like that excuse. Don't get a dog then if you cant treat it as a part of your family, that's kinda the point of having a pet.

So glad to see her make it through.
