instead of cursing them right after the special what you could do is , Grab, Special, Grab again, Then curse them with a slug when there on the ground or the spike thing that comes up either way. Arakune pwns

during combo 3 if your opponent is cursed you can add a C bug after the ground 6B, which will knock them forward so you don't have to perform this one in the corner

@MrItsMagic You've really missed the point of Arakune. Yes, his driver is the curse, but if he is hit once the curse is landed, the curse is dissipated. He also has considerably lower health than most of the other characters, so just charging in, cursing and running is a lot harder than you might think. Spend about half an hour just checking out his movesets, and get a mate round who can play beatemups so you can get some human practice in without it being on live/psn.

Haven't played this game online yet but judging by these comments, it's pretty much how I expected lol... SF4 Ryu and Ken all over again. Kinda makes me ashamed to play Jin, I guess I maintain some dignity by playing Arakune as well.

these combos are meh compared to other characters, i love to play defense and counter attack at the right times but these combos are pretty useless

Here is my little tidbit of advice to offer:

Combo 1: Learn it, free curse, bees all game.

Combo 3: Only applicable in the corner; otherwise Jin blasts off away from you.

Combo 4: Can actually be continued once more, but damage is Heavily scaled, but I like the amount of hits it has.

Combo 7: Easy combo, but do not hold down the A button. As soon as hitting 6A, release, wait till animation is about to finish, hit 6A again, repeat. Can actually be continued for 5+ hits, minus re-curse at the end.

I've been trying to read the forums for block strings and combos, but i can't decipher the meaning of 5C and 214A, etc.

5C = just push down "C"

214 A = Down, diagonal-down-left , Left, then A

Basically, look at the number pad on your keyboard, near the second "Enter" button. Where the buttons are symbolize where you should move the stick.

If you don't have one or something, it looks like this:

4 5 6

1 2 3

actually dude ur kinda wrong there = D im a ragna player, u having issues against arakune is due to a lack of practice against him. no one gets far at all button mashing arakune.... try watching tournament level gameplay if u have issues against arakune.

I really don't see too many Noels anymore. Just Ragna/Jin...all the time >_O At least I'm pretty good with my Ragna matchup with Litchi now.

Noel's fun to play though. At least in CS. CT I just find her combos too hard to do consistently.

@Papsmore412 I play Jin and Rachel. I only picked Jin because I pressed random second time I played and didn't realize i could ice car until my brother spammed it endlessly. I don't play Jin just because he's a main character and everyone else is playing him, :P

First time was at my friends house and I picked Hakumen but I felt he wasn't agile enough.

@azada83 Ara's death from above. wacth Jin rage quit as you dodge everything with jumps and medium down ward mid way in icecar. If you are worried about freezing stay in the air, port and stay the hell away then stun him with ground finger and downward then grab and use spinng tentacles in air. punished the crab out of 'em once they start to look for new way to hit you. I don't bother remembering arakunes move names as hes my sub. Noel ghost can't be stoped unless long reach or Carl Duplex combo

@azada83 Just to give a Actual button name this time so its easier to understand: Air B/Air E. If you Air E first then quickly B I think-I can't remember-you can get a few extra hits in. If he lingers try D at his positon. Stay in the air, dont let him spam freeze you which is when Air D comes in handy. The basic formula is that Jin-in CT-air combat is not really high while Arakunes is extremely flexible in the air, keep it in your comfort zone. Hes a cheap bastard so who cares if he likes it.
