  • I just graduated 2 months ago and I highly recommend a book thata former Coast Guard Company Commander wrote (Drill Instructor).

You can get it anywhere online but the site is Prepare 4 Coast Guard Boot Camp. com. It helped me a lot so maybe you guys would too. Thought Id share. When did your brother graduate?

  • i'm gonna go into the U.S.Coast Guard Bootcamp this month.

  • @TheBabbygirl16 Let me know how it was when you return (:

  • @StevenSupernatural

Hi i never got the chance to go. Alot of things came up and i just didn't go. But i do have alot of friends going into the coast guard or have already went and they said it was fun and hard.the best decision of their life. i am actually going into FireFighting. I sign up for basic training part or whatever in like a month.

  • @TheBabbygirl16 Oh, cool. Firefighting has always been a choice of mine as well, but I believe I want to get into Law Enforcement, particularly in the USCG

  • @StevenSupernatural

That's so cool. Law Enforcemnet is a very good study. I recently decided i wanted to be a firefighter but like i have to go to the little training they have for 16-18 year olds. My boyfriend wants to be in the Army which is really cool he can join next year. i'm so proud of him.

Well your comment got Removed (: but anyways i saw what you wrote in my Inbox.

But yeah i wanted miltary benifits because my grandpa got a Miltary funeral with the 21 gun soulte. My uncle died in the World War II He was 19 years old when he died. But his name is on the Moving Black Wall.

  • @StevenSupernatural Coast Guard would be a good choice for Law Enforcement. I just graduated from a Law Enforcement Academy but I decided on the Coast Guard to gain valuable experience. Remember the Coast Guard is homeland security and is "law enforcement based"..Highly recommend

  • @1986battery thanks a lot for the advice. Best of luck to you in your career! I'm also considering firefighting in the FDNY.

  • What graduation 1 yr ago is this please? Our son, my only child, graduated KILO 180 on 10/31/2008 - proudest and most grateful day of my life since the doctors told me 2 days after he was born that he was going to live. Thank you for posting this - and SEMPER PARATUS!

  • the proudest day of my life!

  • I would like to join the USCG but no one's responding to me. If anyone is in the USCG can you please write me, I have some question about it. Thanks for your time

  • talk to a uscg recruter. its kinda there job.

  • their

  • Im not in the coast guard but ive had recruiters do the same to me often times they are either really busy or they are plain retarded and do not know how to handle the amounts of people that contact them. Why wont you try locating another recruiter. i know that coast guard recruiters are spaced out very far apart but its another option plus the other recruiter may be willing to meet with you even though its a great distance to get to you. Just try it it worked for me.

  • @yvonne104 thats what i had to do, but not for the coast guard, a different branch. my recruiter is 40min away (with no traffic) but since he is in LA there is ALWAYS traffic... but ya, there are good recruiters out there, you just have to find them.

  • i remember that gym well... N-169!

  • That gym is cursed and coated in my sweat. All I can think of is the echo of, "The next exercise is...."
