What makes it even more saddening is that Patrick was incredibly dedicated to his role as an actor, even when he was very sick. I'm still amazed that he was actually in the Beast TV series after the tabloids announcing he had only a few weeks left to live. You just can't help but admire the man for what he did and the passion he had for life and his work. You don't see many people like Patrick Swayze. I think we've all been blessed to have been able to see his magic on the big screen.

I never really thought to highly of Patrick Swayze's acting abilities, but he was a good man that did not hurt people and tried his best to make them feel good with his entertainment.

Pancreatic cancer is a awful cancer. It is almost incurable. The surgery they use for it is called a wipple and they bascially just remove the majority of your abdomen.

It's a terrible way to die and I woudn't wish it on anyone.

I watched Ghost many times...when I heard about his cancer diagnosis last year, I was shocked, he was battling it for a while and even managed to gain an advantage against that pancreatic cancer through the chemotherapy and such. There was a point where he wanted to give up and avoided treatment, but he changed his mind again and battled.

I was on a plane back to New York City when I saw the news on the DirecTV Jetblue screen, CNN. Was devastated to say the least. RIP Patrick Swayze.
