Shaw ws the better man. He was much older than Lenny when they fought and wasn't as big either. He even still managed to beat him. If Roy and Lenny both fought primed when they were around 28 Roy wins 100 times from 100 fights.

Personally, I think Shaw was the tougher fighter. He fought Mclean at 43 years of age, and Lenny had 5 inches of height, and about 80 pounds of weight on him, and was also 18 years younger. Shaw still beat him.

Roy Shaw, at Lenny's age in the bout was a pretty decent pro boxer, fighting at middleweight -160 pounds. As well as being "the guvnor" and unbeaten on the cobbles.

160 pounds natural weight! Mclean was over 300 in their bouts!

There was no 'yank cheating' in the Cooper-Ali fight. It's a myth that Ali's corner exploited the small tear in his glove to give him a longer break after round 5 (where Cooper had knocked him down). The live radio broadcast (the fight was only shown on TV as edited highlights the following night) proves the interval between rounds 5 and 6 was just 63 seconds, only 3 seconds longer than normal, and not the 5 minutes that was many would have you believe. Cooper was beat fair and square.
