The year was about 1973. I was living in an apartment in Ocean Beach in San Diego, in an area with a large "hippie" population. I looked out my kitchen window and was shocked to see my neighbor across the street (who looked a lot like this chick with big boobs) sitting on her front lawn TOPLESS and smoking a joint! I was 18 in 1976 and the fashion for younger women then was to wear a shirt tight at the waist and unbuttoned down to the bra or lower. Bras were designed to be seen. My young French teacher at school dressed like that and so did the secretaries at my father's workplace. Shiny synthetics as well. That shiny blouse certainly looks authentic.

During the 60's and early 70's people wore headbands. By 1973 it wasn't in style anymore. People wore outfit similar to what you're wearing. The only difference between what you're wearing now and the 70's style, people showed less cleavage and more opened back. I should know, cause I wore these type of blouse or dresses. I do remember seeing women in the early 80's wearing this outfit not the 70's. As for the headband, it just came back in the early 80's.

(Saturday night fever was released in 77'). you will see very tight spandex as well as low cut loose fitting attire. you were either into tight spandex, or the loose fitting greek flowing look, w/greek headband. this inspired the early 80s loose fitting shirts like the off the shoulder sweater featured in Flashdance and the loose fitting high neck square cocktail gown or poncho dress.

Jeans didnt get skin tight until "designer jeans" came along . Levis bell bottoms were mens jeans though girls bought them just as much . The waist did not come up as high as you have stated either . Again these were mens jeans .
