I like this fly...I've been planning to get into fly fishing this year and since I already have the equipment to tie flies...well, I guess I'll have to try this one out. Thanks for sharing!
No, I don't. I've read studies that say they don't have the same nervers i their mouths as we do and don't feel pain when hooked. I'mI would stop fishing if I felt I was causing pain to the fish.
No, I don't. I've read several studies that confirm this. I'm vegetarian ans a Buddhist so if I thought that the fish felt pain I wouldn't fish anymore
@jasonklass Interesting video, although since I am a vegetarian also it's the theory that intrigues me. Two questions I wouldn't even be asking unless you had written that comment. If you do not eat meat, I assume you only fish for emergency-survival? (as I would). And I always thought fishing was a big no-no for Buddhists; I'm thinking of the "EightFold Path" and the "Five Precepts" primarily. Asking out of curiosity not to offend, thanks :)
Thanks. They don't have to turn out "nice", just buggy looking. Some of my worst tied flies are the ones that actually ended up catching the most fish.
how would you fish this?

@michaelsw0rd
I put floatant just on the breathers and let the body sink a little into the surface film.

What kind of water do you fish this on? Where have you used this pattern? Do you fish it in the film? Nice tie.

Wow, really impressive demo. You appear to be so fluid - how long did it take for you to gain such expertise?
