The last time I saw him playing in 2010 in the Ancienne Belgique (AB) in Brussels, on the 20th anniversary of Ninja Tune, he wore the same suit. I didn't know about the bet. Great story :)
Kid Koala was dressed up in a Koala outfit as he had lost a bet with his manager the result of which he was supposed to do 100 gigs dressed up like that... this was I think show #50 with him wearing the suit so he should be getting close...
