  • Im the only one who thinks they should remake Deus Ex, be it a fan remake or at Eidos hands (since Ion Storm its not with us anymore)?

  • I have all deus ex for pc and i have this for ps2 and i think this version is very fucking great...good graphics, great places...great soundtracks...deus ex for ps2 need to have more respect...remember that pc version is also good but the ps2 version is more playable

  • @DeNani2011 PS2 version is more playable?? In what way? You can't just leave it there XD

  • When I play this game, some times when moving with the ps2 controller.

    The character moves by himself.

Does that happen to anyone else.

  • noob

  • The thing that bothers me the most about this is the cut-out dialogue.

  • "welcome aboard agent... to the console."

"You've got five seconds to get me back to PC before i add you to list of Sony's casualties."

  • Wow this port looks like less fun than Invisible War. Why is everything so slow and drawn out? And having loading screens everywhere is terrible.

PC version is a thousand times better.

  • @NarkFiveOne The limitations of old consoles with low memory and slower processors. It's a shame really. I still love my PS2 though.

  • I prefer the older graphics. This update loses the charm and just makes it hideous. Also, FPS doesn't belong on a console YEAH THAT'S RIGHT I HAVE AN OPINION, COME AT ME.

  • @sockaccount1337 "FPS doesn't belong on a console" is a little more than just an opinion, it's an opinionated statement claiming to be factual.

"I don't like FPS games on console" is an opinion that does not presume to be factual, I take that standpoint myself.

  • They should have released this version to pc too

  • i no its been like 11 years old but i wnt it :D

  • The graphics on the Ps2 port reminds me of the first TimeSplinters game.

  • Apart from the simplification of the health system this is actually a fair decent port. Of course the PC version is still superior but you could do a lot worse then The Conspiracy.

  • console?! That's for losers! DUUURRR HHUURRR HEERURURRR

  • ami me gusta mas la version pc

  • am i wrong or it runs definitely slower than the pc version? boring to see how long does it take for hit with a melee weapon.. :(

  • what are we doing playing half-life or deus ex

  • This game reminds me of that PC game... What was it called? Deus Ex, I think.

  • this game definitely would kick as on original xbox than on ps2 because the xbox had far superior graphics than the ps2 and it would look EXACTLY like the pc version instead of this shit. i want thiis game so bad lol

  • *sigh* Why did they have to dumb it down? Just because you own a console doesn't make you stupid! They should have made the controls better so it would run just as well on the PS2 as the P.C. and in the same way!

  • here come the fanboys:RAWR STOP HAVING FUN! RAWR! I LOVE THE GAME SO MUCH I SPEND ALL DAY TROLLING THE CONSOLE VERSIONS! these guys dont really love these games, they just love an excuse to bitch people out. same guys that would fight to the death for the genesis or snes only to throw them away when the next big thing came out. gamers my ass. i enjoy multiplatform/retro gaming so i obviously dont get these meaningless race wars over a video game.

  • @ferretlord2177 you the man! tell them trolls like it is!

  • Thumbs up if you still own deus ex on ps2

also Thumbs Up if your ps2 doesnt work :(

  • Nice quality recording mate! Thanks for keeping memories alive!

  • love this game..

    cant wait until Human revolution

  • @sirjax77 Can't wait either. I tried the leaked preview build a few days ago and it's brilliant. It has the same Deus Ex feeling that the original does. Pre-ordered it straight away.

  • WOW. they just added a small office from the beginning. who knows what they changed in the game? o_o

  • @Verd1m5 prerendered cutscenes altought except the others I prefer the INTRO in the PC version

  • i mean it... PS SUCKS

  • this dont deserve to be the ps2

pc wins all day everr day

even a kid can decide that by comparing the two awful

even the security bot thought to himself on the dock where jc was talking to paul

"wtf am i doing on the ps2 version"

ps2 was not at all good

they shouldve made this for the xbox the old xbox

    it wouldve been sick

    they should remake this

  • @abbas7944 NO. The xbox is the reason that invisible war is the way it is. I say just eff the consoles and keep it all on pc

  • the funny part is that this game (Ps2 version)s still better than DEus Ex: Inivisble war.

  • Couldn't they have left everything in the game? I mean Final Fantasy X has WAY WAY WAY more dialogue than this and it all fit on one disk.

Other than that, I only have one thing to say about the PS2 version.

    Dear god why.

  • I love Deus Ex on the PC, favourite game of all time. I can honestly say I'm a true fanboy. Is it worth it to track down and play this version?

  • @ookthomas Hell no! The ps2 version is technically awful. Very choppy framerate, laughable animations, long and frequent loads. If none of that bothers you then try it out, but after you've played it and are laying in bed trying to fall asleep but can't escape the horror of ps2 Deus Ex you'll ask yourself "Why didn't I listen to that nice guy on the interwebz?"

  • @shitbox99 Typical pc fanboy! In fact the ps2 version was great the only slow down is 1 part in the hong kong level, get your facts right

  • @Gavin66627 That's pretty funny since I don't even play any games on pc! I only play games on playstation. Deus Ex ps2, which I still have, had a great story and several great concepts, but, let's face it, it did not get the high end technical treatment it deserved. I simply stated the facts

  • @shitbox99 It was a fantastic game that actually added to the pc original, try playing the game! It got great reviews at the time, the only thing is the graphics, which looked bad on the pc as well

  • @ookthomas

I think it is. Controllers are frustrating, but I love it.

  • What the hell? Are you controlling JC with an Etch-a-sketch?

  • Man, those UNATCO guys sure take security seriously. 3 guards and a bunker that takes 1 multitool to get into!

  • Pc version is better anyway

  • Deus ex on PS2? Man, it just got harder.

  • who was he shooting at in 10:00?

  • Did you experience cropping during the intro on the emulator?

  • Paul? Paul. Paul? Paul. Paul? Paul. Paul? Paul. Paul? Dowd.

  • WTF this game is totally different then the pc version because i played this on ps2 like 8 years ago but i didn't know it was different to the pc version

  • wow this looks fucking horrible D: PC Deus Ex forever!

  • it's too bad nobody ever made a mod to get those improved animations and sharper character textures into the PC version -- they look way better than the HDTP stuff

  • I tried, and i failed. I have no choice but to re-install this game....

  • @heathheath90 Lol, once again the awesomeness that is PC Deus Ex makes yet another person reinstall at the mere mentioning of it's name, Resistance is futile.

  • @SHOPATTHEMALL That or gamepads suck for FPS, which is why some people actually like when you're allowed to use a mouse and keyboard on a console. Mice and trackballs work better than joysticks, in every conceivable way.

  • @jammie81 ps2 version has keyboard and mouse support. just no mod support.

  • @jammie81 This game is fully compatible with a usb mouse and keyboard.

  • @jammie81

Get over it, FPS is more popular on consoles now than PC. And it actually takes skill to be good with them, anyone can point and click on the PC.

  • @Ladiesman1447 implying fps's are only meant to be played in multiplayer with awkward sensitivity controls.

  • @WITYWANKA

I didn't imply that at all, FPS, MP or SP focused ones sell better on consoles. And the aiming just takes skill and getting use to, I have no issue aiming, kids can aim in FPS now, trying to act like it's broken just makes you look like the bad player these days.

  • @jammie81 This game actually supports USB mouse and keyboard

    So take that! :P

  • @jammie81 One thing that's interesting about the PS2 port of Deus Ex is that it can actually be played with a USB keyboard and mouse, and was one of the few games on the PS2 that supported that.

  • Dude your aim is as bad as Helen Keller's. But thanks for the vid.
