@cyrax752 if there was a hdmi port it would be useless because the hdmi has an encoding on it which doesnt allow you to record stuff as compared to component. The encoder is put in place to stop some people pirating Blu-Ray movies and selling them. Hope that helped so its not worthless

Yes, my HD-PVR still works well. There were some earlier units with overheating problems that cause freezing. If you have one of those RMA it right away and Hauppauge will replace it free of charge

only the black magic intensity pro can capture 1080p aka HDMI, but you have to install it into your computer and play the game off your monitor..
