I believe it is very possible, and in this case true, that a president can act so horribly that he has earned being shouted at. 1) In no way is a presidential address before a joint session of congress the proper forum to call the president of our country a liar. It's just respect. Even Joe Wilson knows this.

What part of the proposed legislation allows for 'illegal aliens' to receive federally subsidized health coverage?

Perhaps it's section 246 of the resolution which is entitled:

"NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS."

Is that the lie to which you are referring?

And I'll even add to that an RNC talking point which was just messaged to me, that since this section only refuses 'affordability credits' to illegals it is not enough.

But of course this logic is defined by a misunderstanding of how a government public option works. If illegals cannot gain any credit toward getting federally subsidized insurance they cannot get it without paying a full premium. The point being that the government option is a not-for-profit system fully funded by premiums!

The comment mailed to me was followed by this statement:

"If you think this plan has any intention of helping anyone, you are badly mistaken. It has one goal, to control your life"

This is precisely the fear mongering which I mentioned.

The point of reform is to ensure that all Americans have access to healthcare and to reduce the high cost of healthcare. A healthy America is a more productive and prosperous one.

America's Affordable Health Care Act of 2009 AKA (H.R. 3200) H.R. 3200 establishes a Health Insurance Exchange which would provide individuals and small businesses with access to health care plans, including the "public option" to be managed by the government. The Congressional Research Service, the research arm of Congress, confirmed these findings back in August of 09.

As to why you claim that Obama is not telling a lie here. There are several versions of the bill that have been released in congress to be voted on. Each one is different so the Liberals can claim, at the same time mind you, that it does and doesn't cover illegal aliens. I have read large portions of the bill, including portions that Republicans claim will allow for it.

My challenge to you is to find where it says that 'illegal aliens' will be covered.

He IS part of the fear mongering apparatus that entails the Republican response to healthcare reform and we could have no more perfect an example of that in the formal Republican response to the president's speech where they continued to lie about 'government takeover' of healthcare.
