When I heard the first few notes of Lark In The Morning I knew where you also fell in love with the electric dulcimer.

Sounds excellent! You mentioned it being noisy and not knowing what to do...did you mean the amp hums or buzzes with this instrument.

If so it just needs shielded from the pickups inside the instrument. Some folks use a bit of aluminum behind the pickguard to help with this or shield pickup wires.

Actually, the dulcimer didn't cost that much for a custom-built instrument - mountain dulcimers in general are very reasonably priced, and Tom Yocky is a real craftsman, so do check out his Web site sometime.

Oh wow. After checking out his site I now have an order in the works for an electric of my own. I was so impressed with him I even made it a hefty order for a custom body with dual humbucking pickups. This thing is going to scream louder than some guitars once its done.
