  • Check out:

Videomaker - Setting up a Green Screen

  • @abadeizer Did you not pay attention? He talks about lighting at 1:49

  • Great done,

    thank you!!!!!

  • Great Stuff!

  • (sarcasm) Man this guy seems really excited in this video!(sarcasm)

  • chroma keying is very fun, they're endless things you can do

  • where do you get the back round videos from

  • Any stock footage works, depending on your needs. For a great resource, check out the (2nd) link in the "more info" description for this video. Once you've read the article, click on the "Manufacturer's List" link at the end. Pay particular attention to the "Stock Animation" column for clips similar to what we used here. Hope it helps!

  • @videomaker hi vidmaker u rock! but the lionk doesnt work to get the stock footage is there another one??

  • @spiderfreddie the link has been fixed.

  • thanx videomaker are u located in new york??

  • Use Primatte Keyer... works way better..

  • wat program do u recomend for green screen....any free software??

  • Excellent Video. No offense, but does the guy in this video remind anyone of the hippie teacher in Beavis and Butthead?

  • Absolutely. No offence on my part, either.

  • lol

    thanks nice

  • This is an awsome video

  • It is a good instruction on setting up for chromakey.

It is also kind of funny that, at the end, we see the effects of post production done too quickly. You can see him lose 30 pounds and get a trim.... ;')

    Watch 2:53 to 2:56.

  • MAN!!! i wish i had all of this stuff!! i just dont have the money

i need to start ANOTHER business, i got 30 bucks off selling christmas cards. but i decided to give it to charity.... now i'm broke

  • Some of us only really have a bedroom to work from and dont have the space for ligting stands. There must be some cruder ways to provide adequate light in very limited space..Any ideas?

  • i didn't get how to use adobe premire to make the green screen effect PLEASE HELP!

  • Yeah how much is all them lights?

    green screen - $40

    all lighting - $300

  • Those lights are the proper ones but i picked up 2 worklights each with 2 x 500w halogen lamps,

the ones you'd see builders use, they cost me €50 + 120v transformer, they do a great job for lighting up the background

  • If you use worklight keep in mind not to use them directly. Bounce the light if a white wall or something you put close to your lights. (not too close).

  • nice video

  • how can I replace the background and the floor?

  • at points like 2:50, how come the screen looked so digital green. did you enhance the colour of the green before chroma key to get a better key?

  • Thank You! You actually helped me out! Thanks again.

  • wow. this vid told me nothing! Thanks guys!

  • THANKS I NEEDED THAT!

  • Can somebody provide me with a list of online stores that sell these products and other products for production at the lowest price? THanks

  • Ebay.

    Ebay. and

    Oh yeah Ebay.

  • bandit2888: ebay is your friend. I picked up a 10" X 20" backdrop and a backdrop stand for about $200 (bought separately). Avoid plastic sheets, they reflect light. Cheapest is to paint a wall if you can manage it. For lighting, you can get softboxes, or diffusion umbrellas for $15 for a set of 4.

If you don't have lights, you can buy 3-light kits (with unbrellas or softboxes) for fairly cheap. Shop lights (Home Depot) might do, just don't get anything below 500w, it's pretty much useless.

  • Uh, make that 10' X 20' (that would be one tiny backdrop). ;-)

  • thanks for the information.

  • great tip! nice new logo!

  • keylighy After effect FTW

  • The title is a bit mis-leading, don't you think?

  • I don't think title is misleading.

He shows how to direct lights to light screen behind the subject and what lights to use.

  • Check out "Videomaker - Setting up a Green Screen." This gets even more specific regarding lighting setup...

    Cheers!

  • nice

  • thanks for the tips

  • Great tips. Thank you!
