I have no problem settling on the majority of your statement. If you say it occurs more often than not in Philly it's because not only does Philly represent a "top-6" market in the U.S.,but that's blown out of proportion because the media feeds those stereotypes. Whenever an athlete signs with a major media market the 1st thing you hear is: "can A-Rod or C.C. Sabathis handle the NY media?" "can Ryan Howard survive the tough Philly media?" "can Kevin Garnett prosper in the Boston limelight?"
Bottom line:it seems as though it happens more in Philly because the media will always tend to focus on the negative & not the positive. not just here in Philly,but everywhere. I have no idea what the homicide rate is there in Toronto,but here in Philly-(& many other cities) when you turn on the news,the 1st 10-15 minutes is very depressing. Bottom line:it seems as though it happens more in Philly because the media will always tend to focus on the negative & not the positive. not just here in Philly,but everywhere. I have no idea what the homicide rate is there in Toronto,but here in Philly-(& many other cities) when you turn on the news,the 1st 10-15 minutes is very depressing. If reporters focused on positive stories,many would be without a job. Which is why homicides got as much coverage as the Phillies parade we had on 10/31/08

I think we underestimate the inherent value of Philadelphian fanhood. Yes we are critical of all of our teams, but it is out of our passion and our devout support of our teams. If we only could get our citizens as passionate about politics as we are about the birds, the phightin phils, the sixers, and the flyers, the Illadel would become a model for civic engagement.

The explanations for why this video sucks rests in the self-analysis and rebuttal of said video poster. Yeats girl makes a good point, philly sports teams are so weak that booing is like second nature to the citizens. Its like a blend of Houston baseball, Oklahoma City basketball, Chicago Hockey and Detroit Football in one dismal showing. I don't think there is a philly sports video on the web that doesn't somehow document American dissatisfaction with these miserable pro sports teams.

As an analyst for a fortune 500 company, if I applied for another position and used the logic that Palin used, they would have asked for my resignation immediately! You should checkout the "home videos"(recorded by fans) of this pregame intro. Also read the media articles on this particular incident, even the journalist that attended the game confirmed people booing her.

Although you should also know there has been multiple times in history where Presidents have found or created loopholes to engage in military action on the scale of a war, without having Congress's permission.
