@MightyRodz I never said it was immature, I would agree with your statement, they definitely have grown. This album has a lot simpler instrumentation than his previous works, mostly piano, uke, and trumpet, kept to common chord progressions, just in different/obscure keys. Fairly simple timing. This is in no way bad, I definitely enjoy it (I'mma buy it as soon as I can), but I enjoyed the balkan influences of Gulag Orkestar better. Thats all.

@magikwap I can understand that. This album definitely sounds a lot pop-ier than his previous stuff, and it seems to have lost most of the balkan influence that Gulag had. While I would have liked to see more diverse cultural influences in this album, I still enjoy it because Zach Condon is a beast at producing catchy songs with diverse instrumentation, which I can digg.
