  • I love dolphins

  • When I grow up I will be an aquarium veterinarian.(: I have been wanting to be this since I was in the fourth grade. I haven't changed my mind, and don't plan to. I am willing to do ANYTHING to make my dream job come true. I absolutely love animals and I would be willing to work as hard as I can to make my future bright.(: I hope your dream job comes true!!(: God Bless You.(:

  • @karen59923 keep up that determination and you will get it! thanks you so much :)

  • ...and another challenge I need to overcome is well, I'm not athletic and I have a hard time speaking in pubic. But, I'm in my school's music/drama department so I'm working on it. For not being athletic, I need work on that. To be a trainer at Sea World you need to pass a rigorous swim test. I can work on swimming at home, but these three challenges are hard to overcome for me. & your video, I swam with Dexter the dolphin on my 15th birthday last year! Well, good luck on the road to your dream

  • @narniaHP4ever LOL I know you from my tumblr page!! haha I was like wait, I know this person. this is my old page I have a page same as my url for tumblr: futuremarinetrainer and I even have an updated video from this one that I made many years ago! and thank you for ur awesome comments, like I said before if u know its what you want to do in your heart, you parents will evenually shape up, and if they dont its not like your a different person, your the same child; just very happy in what u do.

  • It's awesome that you overcame your fear of being in the water and it's also great that you want to be a dolphin trainer. I've been enchanted by orcas ever since my first visit to Sea World Orlando when I was 6. But in 2008, after watching the orca show Believe, I decided that I wanted to work with orcas as an orca trainer.

The biggest challenge I need to face is convincing my parents that become an orca trainer is what I want to do in the future. My dad is too logical to understand my dream....

  • i think that is really good that you want to be a dolphin trainer i recently decided that i might want to be one to the problem is i also want to be a vet if i were a dolphin trainer i would have to move to florida because were i live we don't really have any thing like that and also i herd that it is a hard field to get into due to the fact that there arrant many openings

  • @3595brittany if you really want to do it, you just have to go for it! yes,its an extremely hard field to get into; but whats the fun if you get everything handed to you?! lol with much determintation you could get it. and you can be both!well sort of, you could be a aquatic veterinarian :) I believe that is what karen59923 wants to be :)

  • I am 13 almost 14 and I really want to be a dolphin trainer like a bottle nose dolphin trainer or Atlantic dolphin trainer I hope if you get a job there I will see you there!

  • @brandonashplant me too :) as you get older other marine animals will grow on you too lol, i know when i was 12, i said it would be just dolphins. now im obsessed with anything in the water lol yes, hopefully we will :)

  • @ljbananza OK what's your other channel called?

  • @brandonashplant hey this is ljbananza, but this account that i am replying off of is my other channel. and i posted a new video to this one, i just dont know how to make it a video response lol

  • i am comin 12 and my mom asked seaworld fl could i have a place when i am older so i am sure that i'll work at seaworld!!

  • @HollieH1999 haha it'll be a little harder than that! you'll have to work for it, but while your younger make sure you get tons of animal experience you can get! first step i would say is try volunteering at a zoo, aquarium, or any animal shelter :) hopefully ill see u one day :)

  • I want to be a killer whale trainer more then anything in the entire world...You may see other people say that but im sure im difforent. There is not one day of my life when i dont think about my whales i just loe them so much and i hope you love being a trainer as much as i will :D

  • @DolphinTrainer101 actually killer whales are a species of Dolphin look it up and good luck in the future for you becoming a killer whale trainer!!! :D

  • @DolphinTrainer101 oh i sure will :) i cant wait until i graduate next year and i can do my internships :) in the meanwhile i might be volunteering at the clearwater marin aquarium (yes, where winter is) and im seeing about being a diver cleaning the tanks. hey ya gotta start somewhere! only thing is is that im going t have to get a job for as! lol good luck, i think im friends with you on my other channel :)

  • @ljbananza Thats Awesome! I hope you get the job! :D

  • @DolphinTrainer101 haha towards the end i meat a job for *gas lol, and thank you!

  • hello this is ljbananza, i have made another channel dedicated strictly for this reason called futuremarinetrainer so if you would like to friend/ subcribe please do with the other channel!! thanks

  • I'm planning on going to school to become a dolphin trainer. That is what I have wanted to do most of my life. I'm starting at a university this August to major in zoology. I'm hoping to get my masters in zoo and aquarium studies, and, eventually, become a dolphin trainer. I am going to be starting swimming lessons because I am not a good swimmer at all. I need to work very hard to become a strong swimmer. Hopefully both of us will reach our goal of becoming a dolphin trainer. =] Good luck!

  • @zoologychick92 thats great! im thinking about majoring in marine science & animal training, and in the process doing a few internships :) im excited to graduate high school (im a junior now) b/c by then ill be scuba certified (which is my biggest challenge due to fear of sharks) and i will be cpr and maybe even first aid certified. i have to work in my swimming too and losing about 35 pounds to start getting more fit, im in the process now already lost 15! im so excited, good luck to you too!

  • @ljbananza I'm sure you can do it! =] I may end up changing my major to psychology because I know that is good for marine mammal training, but I'm not sure yet. And yeah I need to be scuba certified as well. And I need to be certified in CPR and whatnot. lol But I'm sure we can both do it. =]

  • hi there, my names jess and i work at sea world in orlando. i work with the orcas there and i used to be like you. my dream started when i was just 9 and i kept at it and gave my all for it. i moved from my hometown in london up too florida all on my own when i was just 18. and your video is inspiring. so i am leaving a comment cause i beleive you can do it if you just beleive. its an amazing experience and i wouldnt change my life now with the whales for the world. good luck! u can do it!!!!!

  • @myorcamyworld aww :') you LITERALLY just made my entire week! thank you soo soo much. I made another channel futuremarinetrainer because I wanted people to talk to that love the same stuff I do! this year im facing my fears head on by getting scuba certified and I will be volunteering at a zoo and a vets office :) im also already taking AP psycology in my junior year so by next year when I graduate I can go straight to college and get an internship (hopefully its the only option for me!) <3

  • Is this not selfish, you love animals and want to interact with them so you suppot the capture and captivity of them.

If you honestly care for their welfare, do your research and find out for yourself the destruction captivity has on these animals.

  • @missemiliou i DO NOT by any means support the captures of healthy wild dolphins. but to help the injured, heal them and release them back in the wild i do. i have done my research honestly for the past 4 years, also of which included several trips to different rescues and parks. nowadays most of these dolphins are already born in captivity ( unfortunatly) and they dont know any different. so why not be with these animals and make theyre life happy because there is no other way for them to live

  • @ljbananza I don't mean to be rude but you are kind of hypocritical, but any form of captivity supports the dolphin hunt and capture of wild dolphins. In your parks there may not be wild dolphins, but where there is money to be made in captivity dolphins will be caught and slaughtered -no parks=no slaughter. If they are cared for and released thats great, but dolphins born in captivity should be released. What they don't know still can hurt them, and releasing them does work-look at keiko!

  • @missemiliou no matter what, there are going to be wild animals in captivity. mankind is very selfish. and for no parks= no slaughter, how does that effect japan for eating them? if they were doing that for parks then why would they be killing excessive amounts and eating them?. ( no i do not agree with that) but what you are saying to me, is that if there is an injured dolphin and we take them in, heal them then try releasing them that that is wrong? and some cant be released back into the wild

  • @ljbananza Japan eat mainly whale, which is a completly different issue- i take it you havent seen the cove? Basically you are working in a very selfish industry, you are not there for the animals. 10 Years after you die will you be remembered for making a difference? No because there in a tank and it means nothing, you could be using your love to help the oceans, ecosystems and people who need educating!

  • @missemiliou look at winter the dolphin that was saved and now has a prosthetic tail. humans are lazy, so while the animals are here and as long for when we come and see them we need to inspire and educate them as much as possible!!! andhonestly if you think they hated it so bad why dont you see so hundreds of trainers and caretakers getting mauled or killed by the animals? they could kill us in an instant and yet they dont. im not there for profit or marketing IM there for the animals

  • @ljbananza No, you CANT be educated by watching a dolphin in a tank, if people really want to learn, get a boat, see them in the wild, watch dvds, read, internet research! You do see 100's of dolphin injuries, they just aren't reported i the news- google it! Whale trainers have died, people swimming in dolphin interaction programmed often get hurt as the dolphin is stressed, last month a whale in Japan acutally jumped out of the tank on purpose during a show- sounds like they are happy right?

  • @missemiliou and yeah look at keiko. hes dead, and what was the cause?hypothermia.his body wasnt the same as before he was captured when he was a baby. he was also lonely and came up to the beaches to be with people. he never made it into another pod, and if he did it was short. and for babies being released back into the wild, how would they survive without theyre mother? and baby's first years are learning by theyre mom, without her they would probably die :(

  • @ljbananza Keiko was a very successful release, he lived 5 years in the wild- probably the best 5 years of his life. Just watch your video, it makes my stomach curl - you cant love these animals. I recently visited a manatee resuce rehabilitation centre. The majority of them were kept out of public sight so they could be released without getting used to human contact. This should be done with young dolphins - oh yes i forgot theres no money to be made in that!

  • @missemiliou i do not want to work at seaworld because of theyr animals being for "show" and only a small back doors part being the rescued. i would more like to work at discovery cove or the tampa rehab center so i can have people interact and actually gain more knowledge about why it is more important for these animals to be protected & stoped being slaughtered. i have the utmost love for them and that is why i want to make a difference to others and to educate people my dream still stands :)

  • @ljbananza It doesn't matter what area you work - they are still in captivity. There is no such thing as being educated by a captive dolphin. Its like basing a sociological study on a human locked in their bedroom for their entire lives, given food, given minimal human contact and then saying look at what humans are like- it just isn't valid. You can learn about their interactions and what they have to give us more so by observing them in their natural habbitat - the wild!

  • @missemiliou look, i do not wish to agrue with you, this video is just a reference for me and maybe others who are going for the same thing. in which i overcome my challenges to get to my dream step by step. i have many fears in which im working on getting over.and how dare you say i do not, and cant possibly love these animals. animals have always been my life and they will continue to stay that way. i think about it logically, no, one person cant make a big difference. but for the animal that

  • @ljbananza you care more about yourself, you dream of interacting with them and this is the easiest way. 1 person can make a difference, if every1 thought like that there'd be no geatness. The more people believe in ending the cruelty the better the world is, it happens slowly person by person. U cant make a difference, it won't matter once that dolphin dies of old age, suicide, or gets a stress ulcer - but hopefully i will be helping to make a change that helps the world in the longrun

  • @missemiliou im there for, it will matter to them everyday that i walk in, ( and dedicate my whole life to) for as long that im there giving them what they need and the love. you are talking about it in general. take it into just the caretakers point of view. are they the ones scamming money? or are they just giving up more time and less time to be with theyre family and friends to take and love for the animals? japan eats lots of dolphin. and yes i have looked it up and read many debatable

  • @missemiliou books and articles. im sorry i dont want to be nasty about this, but in my heart i know what im doing is for the right reasons. they dont know any better and i have visited many manatee rehab centers because i live in fl i somewhat know how they work. but the ones you do see is sometimes the ones that are permanatly handicapped and cannot be released back. either way thank you for the opinions, and i do with every inch of my body love the animals.

  • @ljbananza This is my final msg to you. I know you love animals but you havent realised yet how you are hurting them and how your dream job is actually killing and injuring more dolphins than you will ever have the 'pleasure' of training. YOU are NOT what they need, what they NEED is to live and breathe freedom-its their right as much ours. At the end of the day your video is encouraging training and captivity which is wrong.

  • @missemiliou ok thank you. and im not really mad, i do understand you fully. i do know how you feel of them wanting to be free, and they should be. i enjoyed this conversation its good to get a debate about how you feel. you are not wrong by any means, but just some just cant be out in the wild and i want to make theyre life happy while they are stuck there.

  • please comment: what do you want to be when you get older and what obstacles are you looking ahead into?
