Is anyone else pissed off that they haven't been able to find an MMO that actually keeps their interest? I havn't had one since Star Wars Galaxies added the F'ing combat mod that ruined EVERYTHING
this is coming from a ex wow player a 4x gladiator and the best rogue on the server PvE wise aswell dps officer from a top 50 world guild and co-founder of the guild WOW SUCKS...the only reason most of the propper players still like it is because of the huge social aspect wow has...ask any propper player what they think of the raids and PvP now a days and they wil all tell you the same it SUCKS ASS
aion is a kickass game witch is getting better with every patch i'm buying it next week !
i'd have to agree with imerrein...on some lvl but i play aion and well it's not that bad.I started since lanch and well i started hearing alot about wow so i tryed it.Wow is and will always be the best mmo that there is.Aion is second but bar less than none aion needs alot of work and content.That being said aion isn't that bad of a game but grinding and poor pvp make it less...no takes the fun out of a game.When i play a mmo i want to have fun not to worry about shit like that.

@imerrein my guess is you dont have smoothping... btw aion pwns wow. I think its sad that the LK gets killed within hours of being released. It just shows that the game is getting too easy + the animation team really sucks.. They do the same item just diff stats and name lol. If you do not believe me check wowhead and find a item then look at the section where it shows the item which shares the same model :3
umm first of all:the lk gets killed first time in world by ppl who first:play wow long long time + got best equip u could get by that time which i must add u need like a year to get well my friend if u think that's easy try:D id like u too kill lichking in less than a year if u start now ,and second of all aion has no real raid's etc:hawe u even been on a raid? u kno how hard is to go on1? for certain ones u need to kno tactic's in things that u dont evan kno matter ...

I play aion as a lvl 23 Sorc and a lvl 50 Glad and i have loved the game due to it flying aspect. On WoW WOTLK i am a lvl 80 mage and it got boring for me so i found out about Aion from Saferion on Youtube creater of WoW Final Fantasy style and he said he was going to start playing it so i looked into it and liked what i saw. I recommend this game to all MMO players no matter if you are from Runescape, WoW, guild wars(made by same people as AIon), or anything elce just send me a message for more

Well I was just doing some searched, and it said that aion isn't too bad. It said if you can play WoW pretty well, you can also play this pretty well, and in some cases even better than WoW.
I'm not sure, I'd personally google it, I've heard it runs pretty well on low spec PCS.

imo any game you have to first buy the game its self + pay a fee monthly is gay if they make you pay to play the game.. they should pass out the game for free... also imo the game could be the best game in the world but if you have to pay monthly = i hate it and will never play it ill stick to SilkRoad Online Free to download and free to play only bad thing is that its hard to log in cuz so many people trying to play it at the same time
So, you buy the game, around 50$ and like 80% for collector's, and 15$ a month for up-to-date problem fixing, adding more in content patches, balancing everything out. I'd say that 15$ is worth it.
ya well if you think about playing games online, ok so theres the initial price lets say we're buying the collectors edition. We pay $60 the game itself comes with 1 free month. We play casually an hour maybe 2 hours a day including weekdays, so thats 30-60 hours under that free month. No the next month you pay $15. Thats a hell of a lot better than a $60 Xbox game that lasts 15hours. you can play this NEVER ENDING game unlimited 15 a month. or pay 60 for the entertainment of 20hours..
Wow was a good game but sorry man this game looks like its going to devour wows soul. I played beta and its the most clean cut awesome mmo iv ever played with lots and lots of content for a brand new game.
the time you pay for only starts when you are playing the game so when you are not playing you are not really spending the time you played for unlike wow
when you pay for wow you pay 15 for a month and at the end of the month you need to pay agin for your account
there are mass pvp that you never see in a other game you get abyss points for killing a player in pvp then you can buy pvp weapons or armor with this points and the biggest pvp ever you will se if you are high lvl in the abyss you need to play it m8 i cann not explain it XD the pvp battles in the game are epic type in youtube abyss pvp or mass pvp aion and you will get a orgy :D it is cooler as sex :)

If U played Linage 2 with summoner class than U will know what I'm talking about (there are lots of common things) and if I were U I would go to official AION site and read on POWERWIKI about AION and classes -> skills etc.
Spirit Masters are right now the underdog of the game they're the weakest of all the classes, which is strange since in deep endgame they're sister subclass the sorc is the most powerful in pvp.
To make it simple as to why spirit masters are so weak, the majority of they're power comes from their pets, their pets are stuck to the ground, end game pvp has ALOT of areal combat thus with no flying pets spirit masters are gimp.
Chanters can only wear plate, and their buffs don't keep them alive forever. A high DPS class like Ranger, Assassin, or Sorcerer can cut through them pretty fast. Especially because they can all interrupt his spells and heals with ease.
I meant they can't wear plate I typed it wrong. And you haven't played endgame I presume since Assassin, and Sorcerers have the highest DPS, and a good soercerer can easily beat a chanter.
Ohk, yer they cant wear plate my bad on that. No i havent played endgame its still in beta for us. I dont see how this can work Sins have horrid HP and def as do sorc. Sins and sorc = DPS? NCSoft dont categorise Sorc or Sins as DPS players. Sorc are nukers, Sins are burst dmg; this isnt my opinion either its ncsofts and if u would like the links i can get them for u.
Actually if u could get those links for me that would be great. Not to prove u wrong or anything or be a lil bitch like that, but just to get helpful info about the classes would be much appreciated =]
commonly interupted? dunno about that... Imo i think ncsoft has ballanced out the classes very well, although your right about clerics.... they're bitches to kill... unless you're the spike dammage class (sorc, ranger, sin)

every class has a good chance of FInding Groups...Umm Both spirit master and Ranger are fun class's......Pirit masters are cool because they are like the Summoners from FFXI and their pet summins look amazing as they lvl up Ranger are also fun good DMG and they have a Tn of fun skills..like Being able 2 transform into a rock or a bush and being able to fire your bow while moving is cool 2....its a tough choice you got
i would go with spirit master....if i was going any sort of ranged classJust because their summins are awesome...and at lvl 50 they get special summins....that are friggin MAssive
Eh, spiritmaster will be good for PvE, but in PvP any1 with two braincells will just target u instead of ur summons.. thats just from my expeirence in playing, it may be different when ur maxed at 50
Well abot the target the owner not the summon .. i dunno maybe it will be similar to lineage2 (necro, soultaker) where the dmg is transfer to the summon and for a win u must kill the minion first ..
Well, the game isn't yet available for me but relaying on game developer's comments there won't be one very good class for aerial combats. Aerial combat will be part of every character and will offer multiple bonuses every class will find useful. Noone will be able to tell you wich class is 1% better than others as noone has yet mastered all of the professions.
hey, ive been debating on these classes and i wanted to clear somthing up.. are clerics and chanters good in PVP like a "battle" chanter/cleric, acting as a soldier or magic wielder? can they hold there own in pvp and do good dmg? THANKS
ive seen a lot of vids, and read up on aion a bunch and what i can tell from it so far is that if you chose the shield and hammer for cleric they are pretty strong in pvp and pve. Chanters on the other hand remind me much of bards in ffxi, in demand for partys but little to no solo ability.
sry for freaking out but Chanter are one of the best solo class. they dont die! ever! but they take ages to kill something but then its the same way back :P

So, you buy the game, around 50$ and like 80% for collector's, and 15$ a month for up-to-date problem fixing, adding more in content patches, balancing everything out. I'd say that 15$ is worth it.

ya well if you think about playing games online, ok so theres the initial price lets say we're buying the collectors edition. We pay $60 the game itself comes with 1 free month. We play casually an hour maybe 2 hours a day including weekdays, so thats 30-60 hours under that free month. No the next month you pay $15. Thats a hell of a lot better than a $60 Xbox game that lasts 15hours. you can play this NEVER ENDING game unlimited 15 a month. or pay 60 for the entertainment of 20hours..

Wow was a good game but sorry man this game looks like its going to devour wows soul. I played beta and its the most clean cut awesome mmo iv ever played with lots and lots of content for a brand new game.

so its not like wow cause you buy time for a month and the time will end in a month making you pay anther 15$ agin for anther month.

Actually it's when you play about 9hours a day every day for a month if you pay 15 Dollars. Just wanting to make that clear.
I still think it's worth it though, especially for people who can't play all day long because of work/school.

the time you pay for only starts when you are playing the game so when you are not playing you are not really spending the time you played for unlike wow
when you pay for wow you pay 15 for a month and at the end of the month you need to pay agin for your account

there are mass pvp that you never see in a other game you get abyss points for killing a player in pvp then you can buy pvp weapons or armor with this points and the biggest pvp ever you will se if you are high lvl in the abyss you need to play it m8 i cann not explain it XD the pvp battles in the game are epic type in youtube abyss pvp or mass pvp aion and you will get a orgy :D it is cooler as sex :)

can anyone who's played tell me how important pvp is aion? i really like pvping and if aion has a good system then i'm definetly gonna switch over from WAR. i just want kills to matter, is there a reward for killing other players? and is there a battle grounds or scenario type system you can jump in? thanks guys

If U played Linage 2 with summoner class than U will know what I'm talking about (there are lots of common things) and if I were U I would go to official AION site and read on POWERWIKI about AION and classes -> skills etc.

Spirit Masters are right now the underdog of the game they're the weakest of all the classes, which is strange since in deep endgame they're sister subclass the sorc is the most powerful in pvp.
To make it simple as to why spirit masters are so weak, the majority of they're power comes from their pets, their pets are stuck to the ground, end game pvp has ALOT of areal combat thus with no flying pets spirit masters are gimp.

Chanter will dom the classes...
-Can use every armor class (including plate)
-Strong buffs for itself
-Still carries healing properties (basic HP etc.)
-Can do both melee and spell based attack chains

Chnaters only get up to mail armor, they can use shields, but don't have the ability to wear plate.

Chanters can only wear plate, and their buffs don't keep them alive forever. A high DPS class like Ranger, Assassin, or Sorcerer can cut through them pretty fast. Especially because they can all interrupt his spells and heals with ease.

Its a well known fact the healers are OP. I dont think many have lost in 1v1 pvp..
Sorc have low DPS, spells take forever and commonly get interupted.
Sin are only valuable from behind, in which case we heal..
idk bout scout maybe i havent tried scout but they spend alot of time running away from what ive seen..

I meant they can't wear plate I typed it wrong. And you haven't played endgame I presume since Assassin, and Sorcerers have the highest DPS, and a good soercerer can easily beat a chanter.

Ive read the 1.5 Patch translations and i dont see ANY evidence of nerfing; i see lots of positive changes for every class...
Im reading 1.1 and 1.2 changes now so maybe theres something in there but for 1.5 i see the following:
"9. The hit rating on the Chanter's "Wish of Sword Binding" & "Wish of Absorption" skills have been increased.
10. Problems with Chanters not being able to use "Tremor" while silenced has been fixed.
11. Cleric's "Greater Heal I, II & III" now recover more HP."

1.1 Patch Changes for Chanter;
- Able to use Chants of Shield (lvl 13) Life (lvl 34) and Protection (lvl 37) in non-battle (stance).
1.2 has nothing really.

Ohk, yer they cant wear plate my bad on that. No i havent played endgame its still in beta for us. I dont see how this can work Sins have horrid HP and def as do sorc. Sins and sorc = DPS? NCSoft dont categorise Sorc or Sins as DPS players. Sorc are nukers, Sins are burst dmg; this isnt my opinion either its ncsofts and if u would like the links i can get them for u.

commonly interupted? dunno about that... Imo i think ncsoft has ballanced out the classes very well, although your right about clerics.... they're bitches to kill... unless you're the spike dammage class (sorc, ranger, sin)

every class has a good chance of FInding Groups...Umm Both spirit master and Ranger are fun class's......Pirit masters are cool because they are like the Summoners from FFXI and their pet summins look amazing as they lvl up Ranger are also fun good DMG and they have a Tn of fun skills..like Being able 2 transform into a rock or a bush and being able to fire your bow while moving is cool 2....its a tough choice you got

Eh, spiritmaster will be good for PvE, but in PvP any1 with two braincells will just target u instead of ur summons.. thats just from my expeirence in playing, it may be different when ur maxed at 50

Well abot the target the owner not the summon .. i dunno maybe it will be similar to lineage2 (necro, soultaker) where the dmg is transfer to the summon and for a win u must kill the minion first ..

Well, the game isn't yet available for me but relaying on game developer's comments there won't be one very good class for aerial combats. Aerial combat will be part of every character and will offer multiple bonuses every class will find useful. Noone will be able to tell you wich class is 1% better than others as noone has yet mastered all of the professions.

hey, ive been debating on these classes and i wanted to clear somthing up.. are clerics and chanters good in PVP like a "battle" chanter/cleric, acting as a soldier or magic wielder? can they hold there own in pvp and do good dmg? THANKS

ive seen a lot of vids, and read up on aion a bunch and what i can tell from it so far is that if you chose the shield and hammer for cleric they are pretty strong in pvp and pve. Chanters on the other hand remind me much of bards in ffxi, in demand for partys but little to no solo ability.
