  • Davie, very nice pattern and adaptable to any water where caddis bounce. Also as with all of your demos, a great ending to the day. Striperjohn

  • From America Dave, you are the man!. :)

  • Hi bottomrigged,

You know what they say here in the U.K, if you can make it in America you've done it, thankyou for your kind words....

  • hi Davie

Can you tell me what the ribbon is called and where you get it

    Ray

  • Hi Ray,

It's 10mm Organza Ribbon which I used to tye this style of fly, you'll find lots of it on Ebay and many other sites...

    All the best Davie

  • Ca you just use a peary rib instead of the organze - lovely fly..

  • Hi TheBoobyBasher,

You can rib the fly with whatever you have as I'm sure it will still work fine...ATB Davie

  • what has been your hardest fly to tye?

  • Hi mckiller45,

Tying Classic Salmon flies are the most testing but there'smany a trout fly that can push your skills...

  • Artistry. Lovely pattern. Thanks Davie.

  • this looks like it may do well on harelaw trout fishery which has a smashing hatch of sedge and those trout go nuts for the and fished with a good gink and a small sharp twitch along the surface brings out big savage attack Ive heard as Ive not had the pleasure of fishing it during a good sedge hatch as Ive always had to leave early as i need to get back to the train station in time for the last train.

dam i need a car,,,oh and a license will help to.

    Derek....

  • Hi Davie

Great looking fly I liked the idea of using two diffrent colors it looks good. Were can I get the material you used for the ribing? Does it come in diffrent colors too?

  • Again very nice Davy.

Last year my club loch fished very well with sedge type patterns, more so than years gone by.

A simple sedgehog and a wee emerger I tied of my own doing very well. Will certainly be giving your fly a try this year.

  • Davie,

Another great pattern, I will being heading to southern Wisconsin to meet my brother for a long weekend of spring creek fishing the end of march. This looks like a pattern I'll have to bring with me as well as some of your buzzer patterns for brookies. Thanks so much for another great video. Sam

  • Awesome tie yet a again Davie. I love this pattern. I have had great success here in the states with your other caddis with the organza ribbing. Your absolutely correct, the organza is amazing in the water. I will give this one a go here in the states, once caddis season comes back around. Thank you again.

  • Beautiful Caddis Davie!
