It should be the responsibility of the parents to protect their children from the thousands of media images they are bombarded with on a daily basis.

but what the documentary is saying is that the mass media may have an indirect hand in their reasons for choosing to do what they do...

and in any case this documentary isn't criticizing models it's criticizing advertisers for having hidden agendas.
