Kelly meant no harm acting "offended" by remarks she is gay, her reaction is due to the fact that the likes of Perez Hilton etc plucked it out of thin air. She loves her gay fans and aknowledges a huge gay following. As for Perez, the biggest hypocrite ever, he called Will.I.Am a fag, spends 99% of his time trying to publicly "out" people who arent gay/in the closet, and make their lives HELL, now he is raving that bullying about sexuality is to do with gay suicides. I'll leave that at that...

Ohhh it wasn't that kelly wasn't offered contracts she was but she had no say at all cause they would decide her music and they would decide what she wears.

I always thought she didn't get contracts or something but with that voice ofcourse she did.

Im so glad she won AI then so she actually could decide oh man she would probally quit singing after first album if she said yes to previous contracts because she has no say at all.

I know people shouldn't make assumptions about someone's identity, no matter what aspect it may be. Kelly says she's not into girls...great, good for her.

But it REALLY pisses me off when people (Kelly included) act like it's an insult or an accusation that people thought that she might be a lesbian.

That said, Perez is SO cruel to Kelly. So ya, I don't respect him. And fuck his attempts to force people out of the closet who he *thinks* are gay. It's none of his damn business!

But I don't think Kelly is ever offended by rumors in general, let alone ones about her sexuality. She has always just laughed them off. If anyone is offended I would think it has to do more with the invasion of privacy. Unless someone responds to gay rumors using an offensive slur or something, I don't see why you would suggest they were insulted.

True. His digs about her weight are cruel. But I read a while ago about something he was writing, in which he "outs" celebs. Kelly was one of them. I thought that was so rude. Like, dude, she says she's straight, you're not her friend in any way...back the eff off!

Here it's laughed off; she generally laughs off rumours & criticism- part of why I love her! The interview w/Kara is what I was thinking of where I felt it came off as being a negative accusation but it's more Kara than Kelly.

And I wasn't suggesting that Kelly was insulted but rather that the implicit negative connotation that homosexuality carries tends to bring out a different kind of reaction than a "harmless" accusation would when being dismissed.

But it really is no one's business. I may have seen it more in that way because I respect Kelly a lot and that is something that I have had to deal with in my day to day life so I'd like to think that she wouldn't care about someone's sexuality either way.
