Bad start, terrible high A & G. Pipe toned improved towards the 2nd half of the medley. First tune grates on the nerves a bit. Overall good medley.........78th Need to fix throwing away easy points away with bad starts and finishes. Miles away from the standard set with SFU and FMM.
Not sure about using that piece of their march-on, rather like beginning the medley three-fourths of the way into it. It's a great tune, used in one of their concerts years ago, but just doesn't fit for an opener. It's kinda like beginning a novel with 'rising action'. Man, so many of these medleys nowadays are just "too clever by half". Or maybe I'm just too tin-eared to appreciate them? I'm afraid I've turned into an "Old Timer" who just shakes his head at these new-fangled contraptions.
