@MisterSlacker Montreal is coming up on a quarter of a century since they've won the cup- so neither team has been tearing it up. But at least the Bruins have rebuilt a championship calibur team since O'Connell made one of the worst trades in NHL history. Montreal will be chasing the Bruins for the division title, as soon as Boston catches up in the "games played" column. Their trip to Prague set them back about 3 or 4 games behind most teams. Their 2 games into a 14 game in 26 day stretch.

Toronto got off to a great start, and is a point ahead of Boston, although Boston has a game in hand. Talk to me on December 1st, when Toronto is trailing all but 1 team in our division. @DarXSpiriT Lucic also isn't an enforcer like Shelley. Lucic is a power forward and fights when he needs to, but more importantly scores goals and cycles the puck in the offensive zone. Laraque is on the ice to protect his team and play the body, which he does probably better than anybody.

most of the cups that where won by mtl where POST expansion. second of all all 6 teams where good, those 6 teams where concentrated talented instead of the joke teams we have today (thrashers, predators, coyotes ...).
now the real reason mtl won so man cups is because they where the best the nhl had to offer for years on end
