  • we miss these Amazing drivers when they perish, some point fingers others except it for what it is. They know it's a very dangerous sport, at times. But we know they perish, doing what they LOVE! Because if they didn't love it, they wouldn't be able to overlook the fear, and crack jokes @200mph! Lets all Pray Before every race, for the sake of the drivers. We owe them that much. even if you dont want them to win. There's always another Race, But only 1 Life, that can never be replaced. GodBless!

  • could i use all these parts of this show? i was making the videos all in one. plz reply asap

  • Earnhardt was the biggest cheat in the business...driving Illegal cars and prefering to wreck those who he felt would beat him...except for the ones who told him that they would kick his ass if he touched them...(i.e, Darrell Waltrip, Gordon, amongst others). Petty is the KING, par none! Earnhardt wasn't fit to shine his boots...and Dale Jr, LOL, can't drive for shit. Never could. My, my, has his career took a nose-dive.

  • @dalmax661 Get the fuck out of here. Petty and Earnhardt will go down as the 2 greatest stock car drivers in history. Yes, Earnhardt was an asshole on the track. It's why he was named The Intimidator. He was also one of the most respected drivers in history. Don't believe me? Watch the post-race stuff when he won the '98 500. When every driver/official/crew member congratulates you... You're not hated

  • Dale, Sr Will Always Be The King of Nascar

  • whatever genius decided to put an info ticker at the bottom of the screen and horribly distract the viewer from what should be an enthralling documentary, should be fired and should never again as long as they live be allowed work in television. shame on speed for letting this half-wit slip through their net.

  • I remember being a kid watching this race, changed my life forever. Glad I got to watch the sport we call NASCAR through the 90's when the racing was as exciting as ever thanks to this man Dale Sr. Even if I am a Gordon fan much love and respect to Mr. Earnhardt.

  • R.I.P Dale Earnheardt

  • I can say i went to the atlanta race in 2000 when he beat bobby dale sr one of the best if not the best all around person in sports period

  • DID THEY EVER FIGURE OUT IF THE SEAT BELT BROKE LIKE THEY WERE SAYING???

  • @1IIIIIIIIII1 No, it didnt. The rescue crews cut the belts to get him out rather than undo them. Common practice in the rescue world. I remember all that drama and the death threats against Don Simpson

  • @fire0601 SO HIS NECK WAS BROKEN FROM THE FORCE?? DID HE HIT ON THE STEERING WHEEL?

  • @1IIIIIIIIII1 He didn't hit the wheel, cause of death was hyper extension of the neck that resulted in a fracture at the base of his skull, rarely survivable and usually instantly fatal.

  • @fire0601 IN THAT CASE THE HELMET PROBLY MADE IT WORSE BECAUSE THE WEIGHT OF IT WOULD HAVE MADE THE FORWARD MOVMENT WORSE

  • @fire0601: Don Simpson? What do you mean?

  • I kind of wish Dale Jr would be allowed to race the 3 all the time with Wrangler and Goodwrench car. But I will always cheer for the AMP or National Guard 88.

  • dale winning the 500 is and always will be the greatst moment in all of sports history and nothing will change that

  • I was about to say....Ken Schrader went through enough already, but it was Marlin

  • i love old nascar i guess thats why i only watch from 48 up to 2000 like it never happened........ gasp sigh........

  • SADDEST DAY EVER!

  • it was a racing accident! Don´t blame anyone!!!! Everyone wanted to a great finish. It was Dale´s own fault. Please biase this! His spotter told him "three-wide" and he wanted to block all the other cars, there were a little bit faster, at example Marlin. Please don´t blame nothing! I´m a big Dale Earnhardt fan too!

  • @samothsamothsamoth Simple as Dale Jr wants you to do, Don't blame anything or anybody he died doing what he loved. Dale Jr doesn't like the subject at all so he will not show his emotions for it.

  • @samothsamothsamoth how THE FUCK can you call your self a fan and say it was his fault? he was bumped and lost control. it's not rocket science. HE LOST CONTROL. THAT MEANS THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. It was NASCAR's fault if anything for not having better safety regulations by 2001. P.S. nice english what grade are you in? First?

  • @samothsamothsamoth not dales fault. how dare you say otherwise.

  • It was eerie to see how emotional Dale was with his family before the race. I've also heard that this documentary was the first time Ken Schrader has every publicly talked about what happened.

  • notice how in the beginning of the movie Dale says "You will probably see something different on FOX." Does anybody else think thats weird?

  • @TheJet53 Yea it was like he knew that he was going to be gone.

  • @TheJet53: And CREE-PY!!! Knowing the outcome...

  • I would like to know the piece of music at the beginning, and the kind of horror movie ending of intro

  • 12:50. First time 2001 or before that year, he did eye closed? (Not sleep or nap) And he wake up when announce "start engine"

  • If you didn't know about the event, you would think that the part from 00:32 and after (talking about the intro) was from a FREAKING HORROR MOVIE!!! Looking at DW's scared face, then the crash, Jr. running, medical crew running to the car, the people crying and speechless...

UNREAL INTRO, GOOD JOB SPEED, RIP #3, NO.1 4EVER!!!

  • Why did Dale Earnhardt have to die? Why did Ayrton Senna have to die? Motorsport is by far the most exciting, intense and all around best sport there is, but, unfortunately, there is a dark side. R.I.P. Dale. My hero.

  • ...... The race was unreal, the stewart wreck was bonechilling and the finish captivating, and then the news of Earnhardt later that evening from a wreck that, frankly to an untrained eye, didnt look that bad. I thought, stewart was going to be, at the very least, hurt badly. I was hooked to the sport and hurt from the sad news. What a race, what a day.

  • This was the first race i ever watched. I remember how much fox had built this race up and i said to myself, this might be interesting, i think i might try to watch this stuff. What i seen was a show unlike any i had ever seen. The pagentry, the huge crowd, the drivers walking around like Earnhardt Sr, Jr, Stewart, Gordon, Rusty that seemed like rockstars.....

  • 5:05 Nextel cup series logo by Darrells right shoulder??????????????

  • I Heard from somebody that Ken Schrader actually got death threats from crazy #3 fans because they thought he started the accident. Is that true, or just a rumor?

  • @TheAntihero6212 i think it was Sterling Marlin.

  • @tvspnd1228 Yup, Marlin.

  • @tvspnd1228 No, what happened was Dale got loose and tried to correct the car but over corrected causing him to crash and die.

  • @tvspnd1228 it was Sterling

  • @tvspnd1228 it was indeed

  • @TheAntihero6212 It was Sterling Marlin.

  • @kingmaddog2 @tvspnd1228 Huh. That's funny. Because I distinctly remember going to school the next day after the crash and a classmate (The "Somebody" I mentioned in my previous comment) said that Kenny got death threats because Earnhardt fans thought he intentionally wrecked him when in reality Earnhardt was trying to block him and he just ran into him. Oh, well.

  • @TheAntihero6212 Sterling got into Earnhardt a little. Earnhardt took Schrader with him into the wall. If you look at the replay you can tell Schrader did not even make contact with Earnhardt until Dale was going into the wall.

  • @TheAntihero6212 marlin did for a while after even though after review they found that marlin never touched the 3 it was an areoloose situation that caused his car to go out like that

  • @TheAntihero6212 Both of them actually, I remember Jr coming out and condemning the fans that were doing that, Sad that it went that far and Jr had to step in.

  • @TheAntihero6212 Earnhardt knew that Sterling Marlin had a fast car. Last lap in the 4th corner Earnhardt thought he was clear and got tapped so it was not Schrader's fault.

  • @TheAntihero6212 joe nemecheck (i know im spelling that wrong) in the number 15 was mainly blamed as he bumped dale and got him loose in the turn.
