  • @milky27oreo the panto was down in the back when in reality is that it flipped.

  • A deadheaded train is when the train is not in use for passenger service. It has absolutely nothing to do with pantographs.

  • A friend told me deadheading meant that a loco or power car in this case, in the consist is not being used for its pulling or pushing power; is this definition wrong? I'm so confused now, can someone clear this up?

  • @acelakid94 that can also be the case. Deadheading alone means an unscheduled move. This can either be a car, a locomotive, or a whole trainset or consist. If an acela was to deadhead, it would be the whole trainset instead of a single car or locomotive.
