Some of the comments here are as useless as a tissue paper condom. The bottom line is, Nissan started when times were really bad, and now they are one of the best Japanese auto makers. I'm on my 4th Z32 and I'll be picking up another Z32 twin turbo again. The JUN-BLITZ 91 300ZX still holds the world's landspeed record in it's class.

cummins is a good motor, but the transmissions are rather questionable, notice how on intrepids stratus sebrings, and 300m's the car is fwd and the engine is placed as if its rwd? mopar is denying a recall because plenty of customers complain about the transmissions screwing up before the car hit 30k miles

@gunny556fly im sort of with you but i have to say , i had a suzuki swift gt that handled like like a dream considering its price and took off in a snap . i also put 480,337 miles on it before selling it still in good running order. it wa the most fun and reliable car i ever owned and im on car number 32 now. i get what your saying but every once in a while japan cranks out a good one. if i could find another swift gt, i wouldnt hesitate to pay more than its worth for it.

the only good thing ive seen come out of chevy is their 350 and the 3100 is decent.  Its hard to find a duramax with 200k+ miles on it, thats horrible for a diesel engine.

ford makes the best diesel but their only dependable gas engine is the 4.6 and 5.0

all of dodges trans's are junk.

honda/toyota/nissan/subaru= very few complaints, best selling cars in the world.
