look this video doesnt mean kris allen is gay. and just because adam lambert is gay doesnt mean he is a freak or whatever. and the bible does state to love people for who they are and it also states that gays arent allowed in heaven. its not that confusing if you think about it. what god meant was that we love people for who they are and who they choose to be and that when the time comes (judgement day) he will decide what he wants to do with the gays in the world.

Ugghhh, usually the people who are most religious commit more sins by judging others for "apparent sins", and usually are hypocrites, not all, just some. I don't think I'll ever understand how some people can argue about who other people should love, how they think it is their right to tell that who they are is wrong and judge them. We're all the same, really, and I don't see how the love for the same sex differs from men and women loving one another. Why should what us humans have decided God thinks give anyone the right to think anybody unequal? That wouldn't be the kind of God I'd want to believe in anyway if I wasn't atheist.

Americans are way to crazy about god. To build your values on something you THINK is a higher power - is just naive. Religion is the root to all evil, I THINK. Adam Lambert is my god, if I have to choose. I think it is awesome that someone that legendary can be honest with their sexual orientation. If someone asks me my religion I say, I don't have a religion, I have a personal relationship with God. Okay, I'm a girl and I'm straight, AND I live in the Bible belt, but SERIOUSLY? Everyone is saying "Well I think that gay people are going to hell." Well, I don't know about you, but my Bible says not to judge. My Bible says that God loves everyone. My Bible says that EVERYONE is an irreplaceable child of God, and y'all are reducing people to a one syllable word? Oh there's basically a church FULL of us where I worship... it's amazing. We have even had (not at my church per se, but in our sect - Presbyterian) gay ministers. It's a very liberal and loving denomination and I'm glad it's what has given me my spiritual upbringing! :) I couldn't even imagine being raised in a doctrine that preaches intolerance, ignorance, and/or bigotry. UGH.
@GenXorcist1976 when i was little i went to a very judgmental church, and then switched churches at 8, and now the church i'm at is like yours. i love it. we have thousands of people there and it really does feel like home, i mean i basically grew up there. we're a non-denominational church so you meet alot of different people. we even have a separate area where all the motorcycle parking spot are and have like 30 random motorcycle guys. who are really nice haha :)

@bakarchina I never denied that, it just annoying when people say that they go to Hell for it. Regardless of whatever the Bible says, it also says that it's for God and God ONLY to say where they will spend eternity. You can't point out one part of the Bible and disregard the others. It's not our job to tell others if they're sinning. It's our job to focus on our own sins and work on improving ourselves. Not others.

Anyone who judges a person for their sexual preference is a moron. Life is about being who you are and loving yourself. No one can tell a person how they are supposed to be. Everyones walk in life is different and entirely up to them and them alone. I applaud Adam for being who he is and not hiding it. As a Christian, and a former-homosexual, I have to say that it is a matter of lust, love, and free-will. I mean, I think that I love my best guy friends, but that doesn't mean I have to have sex with them. Homosexuality is the same sin as pornography, and since practically everyone lusts, we're all one in the same. I think that, as far as "natural" goes, anyone can be attracted to anyone, and thus, anyone could be "gay." But, "sex" should be in marriage/with only one partner(lust for love).

@starmanlover Yeah, all I meant there was that when people refer to homosexuality as a sin, it's technically only lust - because it's not a sin to love. Sexuality means what you are sexually attracted to, and so, homosexuality is in a way based off of lustful thoughts. That being said, there are gays who just simply fell in love, so basically, the entire concept is a giant gray area. But oh, well, God blesses everyone, hetero or homo.

And, by former homosexual, I mean, I was attracted to another male, simply because they reminded me of the only girl I had ever loved. But, sexuality = lust, love = a combination of a lot of things, occasionally including physical attraction.

Straight relationships just appear to be less about 'lust' because it contains a woman. Women care more about other things too in a relation, and a guy will behave differently than if the other person was a guy too. I do think gay relationships are more 'lustfull' just for the simple sake that men are lustier than women (overal)

I don't think I'll ever understand how some people can argue about who other people should love, how they think it is their right to tell that who they are is wrong and judge them. We're all the same, really, and I don't see how the love for the same sex differs from men and women loving one another. Why should what us humans have decided God thinks give anyone the right to think anybody unequal? That wouldn't be the kind of God I'd want to believe in anyway if I wasn't atheist.

If someone asks me my religion I say, I don't have a religion, I have a personal relationship with God. Oh there's basically a church FULL of us where I worship... it's amazing. We have even had (not at my church per se, but in our sect - Presbyterian) gay ministers. It's a very liberal and loving denomination and I'm glad it's what has given me my spiritual upbringing! :) I couldn't even imagine being raised in a doctrine that preaches intolerance, ignorance, and/or bigotry. @GenXorcist1976 when i was little i went to a very judgmental church, and then switched churches at 8, and now the church i'm at is like yours. i love it. we have thousands of people there and it really does feel like home, i mean i basically grew up there. we're a non-denominational church so you meet alot of different people. we even have a separate area where all the motorcycle parking spot are and have like 30 random motorcycle guys. who are really nice haha :)

As a Christian, and a former-homosexual, I have to say that it is a matter of lust, love, and free-will. I mean, I think that I love my best guy friends, but that doesn't mean I have to have sex with them. Homosexuality is the same sin as pornography, and since practically everyone lusts, we're all one in the same. I think that, as far as "natural" goes, anyone can be attracted to anyone, and thus, anyone could be "gay." But, "sex" should be in marriage/with only one partner(lust for love).

There are plenty of gay couples who are committed to each other and each other only in a loving relationship. And at the same time there are plenty of straight people who f**k around every chance they get. Which of the two situations do you prefer? (by the way, I am a straight woman so this is not a self-defence reaction post)

@nolketessa Oh, I wasn't. I just had a hard time fitting all that in a YouTube comment, what with the character limit, and as sex is just three letters...it fits.
What I'm saying is, people who lust have no right to judge a typical homosexual, as they are typically based on lust(not necessarily sex), and I'm saying that nobody should have sex outside of marriage, gay or straight. We should have the same rights, even if I don't fully like homosexuality. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

(im not trying to be offensive, by the way- i am honestly curious) there is loads of evidence that sexuality is decided in the womb- so why would god make some one 'wrong'? Homosexuality is not just about lust either- gays, lesbians and bisexuals all love- just like strait people- how are they that different from straits?

@starmanlover Ah, you misunderstand. The gender part is about lust. Being attracted to somebody - that's lust. Loving somebody - that's different entirely. I'm saying that you can love someone of either gender, you just gotta be open to it, per say.

@starmanlover Yeah, all I meant there was that when people refer to homosexuality as a sin, it's technically only lust - because it's not a sin to love. Sexuality means what you are sexually attracted to, and so, homosexuality is in a way based off of lustful thoughts. That being said, there are gays who just simply fell in love, so basically, the entire concept is a giant gray area. But oh, well, God blesses everyone, hetero or homo.

Someone can be bisexual and end up in a lifelong relationship with the opposite gender, of course, but that doesn't make them a 'former homosexual,' lol.

@RosaLui "Gayness" means "of glee," if you want to get technical. Homo"sexuality" is based off of lust. That's what "sexuality" means. Being emotionally attracted would be love, which isn't based upon gender, but rather the souls of two people.
And, by former homosexual, I mean, I was attracted to another male, simply because they reminded me of the only girl I had ever loved. But, sexuality = lust, love = a combination of a lot of things, occasionally including physical attraction.

Straight relationships just appear to be less about 'lust' because it contains a woman. Women care more about other things too in a relation, and a guy will behave differently than if the other person was a guy too. I do think gay relationships are more 'lustfull' just for the simple sake that men are lustier than women (overal)

In a society like this, I'm scared to declare my sexuality. I'm scared of everything that will be said, and I feel like I'm supposed to change myself so I can be comfortable

What scares me is the faces they make when the ask- disgusted. I've just been denying it for now. I love being MYSELF online though.. Being gay is neither a choice or "something in the chromosomes" stupid people. Nobody knows why someone is BORN gay. Because you dont choose one day to be gay or lesbian. Of course there are some cases where several trauma, etc may lead to homosexuality, but those are extraordinary cases. Understand people, being gay IS NOT A CHOICE, IS A CONDITION, AND THERE'S NOTHING WRONG OR BAD ABOUT IT.

Just wanted to point out I have no personal stake in this & even I am a huge gay rights supporter- so much so that my mom has even wondered if I'm gay! But as a recent PSA said, you don't have to be gay (or have gay family/friends) to give a damn. To me it's like civil rights for blacks and voting rights for women. It's a matter of equal rights for EVERYONE.
